there has been an incredible amount of bull**** posted on these boards regarding hatton v pbf. the hype around these boards has been massive with 10-30 threads posted a day, most of it being irrational, subjective views which is quite annoying. with me being a newish member to esb, i was wondering if some of the veteran members of the board could tell me which fights from the past created similar levels of hysteria on these boards and had rival fans of fighters engaged in weeks of bull**** talk leading up to it on similar or even larger scale?
These boards are almost unreadable. I can't take this us vs. them stuff, it's bull****. We all love boxing, it is a universal sport, and doesn't matter what race you are, or country of origin. I love and respect ALL fighters, whether they're from my country, or some third-world down on your luck country. I wish these trolls that keep ruining every thread, with their nationalistic bull**** would take a hike. I love and respect Hatton, same for Mayweather. They are both great fighters, and whoever loses isn't overrated, they just lost to the better man. If Hatton wins, it doesn't make England superior, and if Mayweather wins America isn't better either. Please people, get a ****ing grip.
Aye, trolls have made a major drag of this site. I'm clocking out till after the fight, this forum seems to suck the fun out of everything. The negativity is overwhelming!
Sorry, I ignored your post during my rant. In my two years here, this is the worst I've ever seen it. Other fights have had similar results, but this fight has taken it to a new level, in my eyes.
+1 All of a sudden Hatton is a world beater. atsch He's not overly fast, he doesn't have one punch KO power, yet all of a sudden he's some crusher. I'm not buying into the Hatton hype, same thing happened with Oscar back in May, so many posters felt he would KO Floyd because he was bigger. Now things are reversed and Hatton is the world beater. Hatton is a likable guy, but the reality is that he will be overmatched on Saturday night.
