Fury may have been the one to dethrone Wlad but did anyone outside hardcore boxing fans really care? Fury/Wlad didn't really have anyone lauding it as fight of the year, like Joshua/Wlad, most were too busy criticising Fury for his controversial views and his luck luster win.

Truth is not many outside the hardcore boxing fans would care if Fury came back or not if it wasn't for the fact he might be the only one that could be a serious threat to Joshua. Like it or not everything revolves around Joshua at heavyweight, including Fury, he's the star the others are just specks of dirt circling his brilliance until he deigns to shine a nice pay day their way.

Why not? All the real champions in history come from retirement to fight good competition? Why not Fury? We all know....he is a joke!!

That’s cool Fury didn’t need to get out he floor to beat him. I respect that more. Doesn’t matter what the casuals think. They thought Vanes vs GGG gonna be great but guess what real boxing fans know the truth

I didn’t have any problem with Seferi as he was just getting back into things.

    Pianeta... I’m a bit disappointed.

What the casuals think doesn't matter as they DKSAB but what matters is the revenue they bring which is why every heavyweight wants a part of Joshua and why the division is more interesting as everyone makes moves to try and secure a Joshua fight. Fact is without Joshua and the big payday he represents we would still likely have a bunch of split titles with each title holder defending it in their home market and not unifying because it's not worth the risk.

I don't mind either. Never expected a real challenge in his 2nd fight considering how bad he looked vs Seferi. Maybe if Fury looks better vs Pianeta they'll take a bigger risk in the 3rd comeback fight, but if he looks awful again, I expect another soft touch. They won't rush Fury's return, far too much money up for grabs should he fight Joshua to risk Fury losing.

They cant rush him, he has had 4 fights in five years. In that time he has abused his body.

I dont think it is unreasonable to use 2018 as a bum carousel to get his training and body right and take off the ring rust.

First part of 2019 I would expect a Bellew/Charr/Takam kinda fight

But wait, didn't Fury himself tell us he doesn't needs tune up and he wanted to fight AJ instantly? And some delusional clowns here were nodding in approval?
