    What excuses?

When was the last time Andre fought at 168?

When was the last time he fought on a regular basis?

Yet all of a sudden he was willing and able to have fought GG earlier on this year?

I might be wrong but didn't Ward also injure his knee around the time he would have been training for Golovkin if a fight had actually been agreed?

Ward hasn't been able to be counted on over the past years.

    excuses...hypothetical excuses....

Floyd aint fought in a year...but I bet if 4 months from now he has a fight signed nobody will be worried about whether or not its gonna happen

ward hasn't given any reason to doubt him....when he says hes available he is

yer bringing up some mysterious knee injury that wouldn't have been known at the time they would have been negotiating....and he used it to get out of garbage mismatch on an undercard.....not a mega event clash with ggg

you guys live in candyland.....yer mythical fantasies...unfortunately with ggg that's all youll ever have

oh well...ward on to achieving greatness while you feast on more c level bums...enjoy....keep the excuse train running on full steam!

"bu bu bu how do we know if ward could have even made 168...how do we even know if ward could have fought'

GEE I DUNNO ...maybe since ward said he was free and clear to fight! since his dispute was behind him and he declared himself ready to make fights lol..what a running joke u losers are

Hey, didn't Tom Loeffler just the other day publicly announce Kell Brook as a possible opponent for the Triple Duck? Last I checked, Kell Brook was a WELTERWEIGHT.

    LOL...

GGG get's criticized for fighting his mandatories and the IBF champ

How nice it would be if all boxers fought their mandatories, we would have seen GGG vs. Canelo already in 2015. :-(

Failure is a matter of intent. Not saying I succeeded, but it might be viewed as such.

I played no race card, but if one perceived that they have their right to their opinion, even if they are right.

If Golovkin called Lara's bluff..fought him..beat him like a red headed step child the same gob****es like yourself and slunk master would be saying he's picking on smaller, weaker fighters.

Doesn't make sense, you say it has to be "the one (division) u started in" and "168". GGG has never fought at 168 in the pros.

Besides, read the OP again. The OP is clearly talking about 160, not 168.

No, Golovkin should stay in the division he started in, move up to 168, and move down to 155. Its simple really.

    1. You are in no position to be calling anyone a loser. You are completely biased and you are debating with emotion instead of objectivity.

    2. You have shredded nothing.

    3. My argument wasn't stupid.

Now I can understand perfectly why GG is garnering hate. The hardcore fans and the casuals are getting carried away. Every week there's threads stating he's the greatest MW ever and he'd beat Roy Jones, Marvin Hagler, and James Toney etc with ease. But as yet, as great as he looks, we both know that he hasn't beaten any elite fighters. But you have to excuse their ignorance, ignore the hype, and be as objective as you can.

It seems clear to me that he wants to unify the MW division. Now considering he's not a big guy, it's a prestigious division, there's good fights for him there, and SMW isn't that hot at the moment, then I think we should respect the road he's walking.

Threads like this are just silly, especially as it looks as though a 10 year old child has written it in anger.

My point regarding Lara stands. Again, you'd have ripped him for it. You've got to forget about the Ward issue now, and hope that the fight may happen some day down the line. For now, we have to hope that the fights with Canelo, Saunders and Jacobs get made. But at the moment, they don't look likely because none of those guys want to fight him.

    Yes.

Like you say, over the last few years, he hasn't been in any position to have taken a big fight.

So Ward lied about his knee injury that prevented him from gaining huge exposure on the Canelo-Cotto card?

    Okay.

Yes, asking whether or not he could have made 168 is a valid question.

The other thing is, you don't have to turn this into a Ward fans vs GG fans debate, as I'm a fan of BOTH fighters. In fact, I'm a far bigger fan of Andre's than I am of GG's. But you won't be able to take that on board.
