Alvarez doesn't look great on tape, but he hits hard and he is accurate and he is tough. It doesn't matter if he loses against the Fish. Alvarez is very young and the sky is the limit for him. He'll get better and better and in a few years, the p4p list will look like this:-

    1. Rigondeaux
    2. Golovkin
    3. Alvarez

You might very well be right, Freddy. Not to sound like a broken record, but to me it all comes down to footwork. Canelo needs to be set to throw those combos. If Trout keeps him from setting his feet, he keeps him from throwing the combos.

I doubt Alvarez would be considered, in a few years time, to be above Ward in p4p rankings. Ward hasn't shown any weaknesses and is way more adept. I can see him taking on and dominating the best at SMW, LHW, and MW, including Golovkin.

Yeah, I still think that had Cotto committed to the body earlier in the fight (like he used to) he might have slowed Trout down enough to take some of the later rounds.

I definitely expect Canelo to bang that body early. I only wonder if he's going to be able to fully set enough to get off enough combos to accumulate the damage. Cotto throws on the move more than Canelo.

All Trout has to do to is win on points. He needs to land all the cleaner eye-catching punches and offset Canelo's offense. He must start out the fight by jabbing to the body early on as he did against Cotto and stay on the outside at all time by hitting and moving. He's going to have to make a few adjustments because Canelo is really good at cutting off the ring and will find ways to sneak in a few good shots.

No he didn't, and like I said he is bigger than both Manny and floyd and fighting at 154 he should have KO'd or at least hurt Mosley hard, but he never did.

Your boy never, never fought, legit 154 comp and seeing how he was rocked by Cotto the lesser I don't have much belief in him.

Sure he could have. We'll see how good Canelo is tomorrow night. IMO he's gonna have his hands full dealing with Trout's stance movement activity and underrated boxing ability.
