Met Kevin at Fury Mcdermott last night.

He was a top man and I asked him a few questions for ESB while I was necking a nice cold stella (was f-ing hot in there) as Larry was blowing out fergie.

He said that he has already been back doing some weights and will be back in the gym proper next week.

He said that he's gotta have some kind of an eye opp, so things will be on hold till after that.

The last point he made was that he knew that he only had one chance left and that he was gonna have to step up and take things seriously.

I hope that he can do this last one as clearly it at always been his problem.

The weights are probably a good idea as he did look small at the weight.

Thought I'd just share this as a lot of rumours flying around at the moment.

    Cheers Will.

I still don't think he should box at lightweight but if he can get the balance right then yes using weights can help him..but there's a fine line. Some fighters use weights far to much and lose there edge. I expect him to take things seriously...he said before Katsidis this is biggest fight of life yet after said he didn't prepare properly. Last Chance Saloon Kevin!

I think he's done. If you cant get your head right for a stadium clash against Katsidas, how can anyone believe he'll change in the future??

    Hope im wrong tho.

If he boxed Johannsen again he would get beat...:yep

Mentally I dont think he could drag himself up the way he did in his last fight to come through...:yep

Last time he won fair and square, if there was a next time, I think he would get beat...:yep

This is my worry, and I think I put this accross to Kevin. He assured me that he would be going away for a camp for his future fights. He did tell me where (think it was abroad possibly canada) but I can't remember.

A camp away is an absolute must for him now. Just as it is for Froch.

Certainly not enough for the Kessler fight.

He needs to be away properly. He seems to like Canada so he should just do it properly there each time.

You can't play at this game if you want to be on top!!!

I don't where it was, I saw some footage of him in Ireland doing sprints near the Shrine in Knock... It was the time he mentioned some sparring partner trying to make a name for himself...:yep

I agree, Camps should be really out of the way and focused...Read some good stories about Big Bear in Calafornia and some of the Camps that have taken place in the Canary Islands...:yep

recent footage? i dunno where knock is... but i remember seeing sprints footage, that was pre pascal, timing himself on his watch and bigging himself up. i agree, take them away, he was great for the irish and canadian camps, not so much for home camps in nottingham - dirrell and kessler. i reckon pre kessler he didnt want to leave rachel alone since she had his babby inside her an all...

Knock is not too far from Breaffy.

There are some great facilities there. It was used by Aussie Rules agent Ricky Nelson to assess a bunch of lads suitability for plucking from Gaelic football. They have a few cards there, some of which have been televised on RTE. Its five minutes from Castlebar which is a great town for a **** up......not that Froch should be doing that.

I know where you're coming from. That was his big chance to go onto the world stage and make a name for him self. You would think he would have been a 100% focused.
