Bumped into Kirk Johnson at the store.

Almost mid-February. Please make an announcement soon for late March. And for late April. With Kirk, these things almost never materialize.

He was supposed to fight Guinn, and then he was supposed to fight maybe Bruce Seldon last year?? Nothing happened.

 

You know, I would tend to agree--but Halifax fans can be quite unforgiving. He would have to be in pretty good shape. Maybe a fight against a guy below 200 on BoxRec at the Dartmouth Sportsplex? I wonder if Kirk would get nervous in his hometown, though. I think, despite the Mora incident, that he would prefer to fight on an undercard at Pechanga. And as a fan, I'd rather fly to California in March than to Halifax.

Yeah, pretty irritating. I have no idea why someone like that doesn't boxers of limited ability with no power around the BoxRec 300-400 just to stay busy and shake the rust. But then, I have never been in the ring.
