How did he avoid a guy who was fighting a division below him?

Type error I meant above him, how can you avoid a fighter who is not even in your weight division?

I presume you are referring to Ward?

Because he called out other 168 pounders and Froch routinely gets called out for ducking him. Trying to fight retired Froch and not trying to fight Ward means he avoided Ward. Simple as that.

    Well it doesn't does it.

Ward fought twice in 4 years after besting Froch, there was talk of them fighting in 2015 after GGG had signed to fight Lemieux in October.

Now, think about this, IF team GGG had agreed to fight Ward instead and rearranged dumping Lemieux there still wouldn't have been a fight as Ward re injured himself again as was evident when he had to postpone his initial fight against murderers row challenger Alexander Brand.

He avoided Ward as much as Ward avoided Chickenson.

Thats like saying there wouldn't be a Kovalev fight because Ward postponed against Brand. What you're saying makes no sense.
Ward vs Kovalev was already singed off at that point becasue the message was very clear from HBO and Sanchez that Ward was never going anywhere near Golovkin.

Did Stevenson offer Ward a fight , and Ward answered back with a catch weight demand of 171 or no fight? Your comparison doesn't work.
GGG 100% avoided Ward. Wanted nothing to do with him as he knew a thorough drubbing would've been put upon him.

It does make sense as Ward was not reliable to fight during that time due to injuries.

Also when he did Infact come back he was at light heavyweight and admitted that he couldn't make 168 anymore.

No , your timeline is all off.

Ward did say that , but it was years later , after challenged GGG and after he had made the jump up to LHW.

He told GGG 168 50/50.. GGG demanded a CW knowing it would kill the fight.

Thats when I'm saying he said it when he came back to fight Brand, but a GGG fight was put to team GGG after he had signed for Lemieux and Ward subsequently became injured again.

I'm not disputing Ward beating GGG I think he would of done but I don't think Golovkin ducked him as the fight was never really there to begin with.

Those would of been non title fights, the idea was to get a nice pay day for a lucrative fight against a big name opponent, while at the same time being able to hold onto his middleweight titles, so there is no contradiction here.

    Canelo.

    And Canelo.

However, your first point sort of doesn't stand as he dropped to 154 to face Smith and scoop up a title.

Why did you get so defensive and change the subject? Different subjects. I've made myself clear on the Golovkin/Canelo thing. Probably in a way that both bases hate me. But whatever.

"I will fight anyone between 154-168, except Andre Ward, I have to weight drain him to fight him". Golovkinweight (164)
