Name one person Wlider has faced that posed a threat and was in their prime. Name one opponent that was there to test him an not to simply pad his record with another KO. So by only, I mean only. As for the rest of your reply it is irrelevant and childish.
The exception is to those who fight monies and hasbeens. Nobody he I guts has a realistic chance because they are nt pod and are there only to lose. And I'd never do anything to jeopardize our moment Mr. Ears.
You're right, I wouldn't call those fellas bums, just overmatched. I don't really like the term bum. It's a term that's always been used even by those in the fight game but I think it's overused now.
It is overused and by the people Janitor described. The problem is There is a process where a fighter needs to be built up, even great ones so they ARE all "under matched" for a period. It is no use blaming anyone it always happens at the start of any invested career and the loser looks worse than he is and the winner gets no credit. The worry is that there will come a time where the only fighters we have are 1. The over matched. 2. the under matched 3. defending champions. The sad thing there often is no other level for these over matched guys to fight at, they are disillusioned because they soon work out they only get over matched. At one time there were lower circuits in the old fightclubs where all the overmatched guys fought each other. There used to be a level for them in pro boxing. Often a kid wanting to turn pro might get a fair chance to begin with but if hes not selling tickets he may as well become a sparing partner.
Think choclab had given the best answer you are going to get regarding this thread. Just something to consider..i was in the gym this morning sparring..now i am well past my sell by and only doing it to keep fit..but before people on here label fighters "bums" or whatever else..your average poster on here would get seven shades of hell beaten out of them by your average 'bum' ! Anyone who gets in a ring with intent should always be respected.
Boy did you put things right there! In many ways the term bum is almost a term of endearment when one thinks of Galento's famous usage of it, etc., but the general fan has no idea what goes on in that squared circle.
