Just listened to the latest 5Live boxing podcast in which Costello and Bunce interview Tyson Fury . It’s an interesting interview, quite amusing but Bunce is laughing and giggling like a schoolgirl after a couple of Bacardi breezers ( if they still exist ). It’s beyond embarrassing, he’s fawning all over Fury. I suppose , as usual, he’ll completely bend the truth and say that he gave Fury the full ‘ Jeremy Paxman ‘.
Can't stand the way he calls even people older than him 'son'. Bunce has done plenty for the sport but he needs to be put back in his place from time to time. This content is protected
I really enjoy listening to him on the podcast. Him and Costello blend really well together. He’s knowledgeable and clearly very passionate about the sport and he tells a good tale.
lmao, nice one. There should be more of this, most boxers are way too polite to dumb interviewers and journos.
Sorry you took my post so personally, it wasn’t personal, I don’t know you, just my opinion. To be honest I don’t even understand what you’ve said, clearly my carer needs to give me my dementia tablets after changing my nappy. I’ll try not to waste your valuable time in the future.
I've said this before. Bunce is either drunk all the time or has some sort of disorder. He shouts instead of talks. It's not normal. And the tales he tells, most of it is utter crap. The interesting thing about the Hopkins video posted above is that Bunce is sat in the studio afterward 'explaining' the whole thing in his own way, adding insult to injury most likely.
Same here pal. Can see why a lot of people don’t like him but I’m a fan, clearly absolutley loves boxing and some of his stories even if the truth is slightly bent are superb. Him and Costello are a good combo
You guys need to listen to Bunces tales of the extraordinary 5 Live podcast. Sure tells a great tale. The one about the useless golfer trying to qualify for the Open for years is a particuler favourite.
He is and he does, but sometimes I would like an option to filter Bunce from the podcast to be honesf, at least to turn down the volume on his mic and to skip through the interminable, 'Let's get this straight Mike' intercessions and repetitions. He also has a tendency to get too close to promoters/boxers and parrots their line so he doesn't bite the hand that feeds him. Notably when doing his pundit stints on Frank's BT Sports cards. Bunce still gets respect for the time and dedication to the sport and as you rightly say his ability to spin a yarn, but Costello is more impartial and a better caller of a fight in my view.
