Monte is in the same hotel that David stayed in before the Enzo fight. All fighters and their entourages have meal allowances - the 30 quid is cool.
    I'm back tonight at 6.

    Adios.

Last time I went into McD's a large Big Mac meal was about £3.50, the apple pies or McFlurry about an extra £1 - why the complaints?

Can even get a large meal from Subway for about £6!

Good old Andy asked him the same question twice or at least Barret had just predicted what would happen. So when Kerr asked if confident he came out with that line to mix it up.

Seemed like a bit of a panic on Setanta's part, "Buncies got the shits and Kerr and Dempsey are down the O2! who we gonna get to do the show?"

......Enter 2 rabbits in the headlights with orders to "have a five minute read through the history of boxing and wing it as best you can"

Didn't turn out too bad considering, at least that guy's earpiece was working as he stopped referring to Froch as Frock half way through!

    I thought they were awful.

They just kept reading out email after email with questions about who would beat who etc etc, and just said erm..... we will ask Paul and Andy about that one.

Whilst Kerr is a good presenter, and funny to boot, he does strike me as being low on boxing knowledge (though he is improving) - that is where Dempsey has his number.

Paul is also able to build up to a big fight whereas Andy sort of limps through, to a degree.

It was a poor show but to be fair to the stand-ins they did their best. If you dont have now boxing knowledge then what can they do?

Plus from what they showed of the press conference the Promotion has generally been ****. David Haye should concentrate on boxing first and foremost. He should have stuck with Warren until he got a title shot and then leave him. He is no De La Hoya! Oscar made his name first by being a successful fighter then as he nears the end of his career he used his clout to get into Promoting. I mean look at the guys stable and team, Richard Shafer is a marketing genius and he has BHOP, Mosley and crew backing him up. De La Hoya has the charm and gift of the gab. Who has Haye got?? Booth?? Comon now this guy isnt exactly known in World boxing is he, he hasnt got a clue. I think Haye is a bit too arrogant and self absorbed to win over and convince the masses.

Adam Booth does come across as a bit of a dickhead, after all he is only a trainer, and how many fighters does he actually work with?

    One?

To be fair to Haye, I see his point. He does the training and takes punches for a living, so why should some bloodsucking leech (in this instance Warren) take anything from his career, having invested nothing?

OK - he paid Haye to fight Maccarinelli, but at that time Macca needed a big fight, people get sick of meaningless defences - and with a two belt champ a couple of hours drive away, there was no reason for it not to happen.

If a promoter signs a kid and is there when he earns £5k a fight and helps pay his bills - then he is entitled to a bit of loyalty, but not in that instance.
