um guys drying out before a fight is not a new thing.....it looks to me like this is all that bunce is talking about its just that he's going nuts about it. I mean seriously these guys that balloon 10-14 lbs after the wiegh-in; howmany of them wiegh the contract weight the night before the wiegh-in?...probably none because it would be metabolic suicide to keep yourself that far below your actual wieght....you'd undergo acidosis, start loosing muscle mass, and all round get pretty ****ed up.

6 pounds is not that much weight...that's like half a gallon of water...any who trains of even runs at the gym can shed that weigh quickly...Also he can take a dump...

Maybe he just wants to come in a little heavy...at maybe 180 so that he can have a little more muscle mass sit on his punches more...

There are a lot newbies here...they just dont understand the process. When people come into the ring weighing more than they did at the weigh in thats exactly what happened...

Uh, how many times do you see someone come into the ring at 180 after weighing in at 160 the night before? Happens all the time

Second, Joe has always in great shape and this is one of the biggest fights of his life, you really think he's not going to be in condition for it? Please

Although if he loses it he can use the same excuse Roy has for all 3 of his post-Ruiz losses :yep

Bunce is just hyping this fight. His analysis of the body posture of the two fighters is way over the top. For those of you that haven't watched the second part Bunce goes on this long tangent about how calzaghe looks really nervous because his body posture is tense and Jones looks much more relaxed and comfortable and how maybe jones has sucessfully put the pressure on him and maybe he's not confident and all this other bull****....Honestly, anyone bying into this hype job needs to put things into prespective. When was the last time Calzaghe didn't look like he had a huge stick up his ass? I mean this is the guy that didn't sleep the night before the LAcy fight and then got up and smashed him. Thats just how he rolls. Roy Jones is never tense.....ever! So this whole Roy seem very relaxed and Calzaghe seems tense thing pretty much only means that Roy hasn't had a mental melt down...and Calzaghe is just being himself...big suprise.

Boxers losing 6 pounds overnight has happened many, many times. Go to the sauna, most of the overweight will be gone.

I've got a crazy relative who swears by "biorhythms". Basically it is spiritual bull, but he checked Calzaghe and Jones biorythm and apparantly Calzaghes was terrible and Jones's was near perfect.

I don't believe that stuff but it didn't help my gut feeling that Calzaghe will lose. Now this weight issue to top it all off.

not a big deal as some are making it out to be

Guzman had to lose more than that overnight in his fight against Soto and he looked spectacular.

He prolly thought he could do it again with Campbell, but it backfired.

He weighed in at 174.5 and looked fine - not drained at all

Bunce is probably talking out of his arse here. The only people alongside Joe as part of 'Team Calzaghe' are Enzo Cal, Joe's uncle and Kerry Hope who's fighting on the undercard. I doubt any of them phoned Steve Bunce in England to tell him that Joe was struggling with the weight.

Id agree. Calzaghe didnt look weight drained at all. It makes no sense that he would be that much overweight. I think someone is trying to spread a rumor to boost Jones chances
