HBO couldn't give a **** about Froch...but they offered a fight with Lacy because they were sure that one would generate more money !! Nobody's ducking no one but everyone whom has a promoter is following the path of most money available...

Froch would be a better match to Taylor than Lacy right now but he's only a local fighter to HBO...for the moment !!!

 

Exactly -- as far as the casual fan is concerned Froch is just some british guy. HBO knows that. After Froch beats Pascal, and I think he will, HBO can use that fight, and the WBC title to build Froch up. Froch as the WBC titlist, and JT coming off a win over Lacy makes a MUCH bigger fight than JT fighting some british guy for a vacant title.
