Haye - Audley should be shown on free TV. Asking 14.95 quid (or whatever they want to charge for the Pac double bill) is a blatant and semi-criminal rip-off.

Haye vs Harrison is the biggest all Britsh fight that can be made at the moment. They are both household names. It will be a massive sporting event over here and make loads of money in PPV'S.
Funnily enough even casual watchers of boxing know what Audely Harrison is capable of in terms of physical power/skills etc so the curiosity is there.
Can Audley be the aggresor with his size difference and catch him clean . If so he has the power to knock David out cold.

If I was Haye I'd be truely embarrassed watching that last clip...cringe worthy now we know what Haye's all about.

Haye just ran with the same tacitics for too long - you can tell that last year the Klitschkos just didn't know how to handle him PR wise. Now they are just blowing him out of the water.

Haye has been a PR disaster the last 3 months. Bit like Mayweather.

Pretty much agree with all that.

All they are doing..... well, all Wlad is doing is looking to engage the best possible challengers to the title that are willing to get in there.

He's only facing Peter because Haye and Povetkin backed out.

If Haye is serious with his latest offering... the announcement about an announcement about an announcement vid, he better have someone good lined up having taken the **** out of the Klits for facing bums - both of which would belt his rumoured opponent inside a couple of rounds.

If he wants a money fight, fine - but don't try to dress it up as anything else. It's not even proving domestic supremacy either

Until he fights Wlad he's always going to be criticised, simple as that.

"I am pretty sure Audley's not on our radar. I mean he's never boxed anybody ranked in the top 20. In David's last 10 fights he's boxed 11 guys ranked in the top 15. Audley has never fought a world ranked fighter so as far as David's legacy is concerned and being the best fighter he can be and getting the respect from his crowd and boxing piers, I don't think fighting Audley gets him that."

"As a boxing fan, I would hate to see David fight Audley. He's never boxed anyone in the top 40 and never produced in the ring. Audley's only hope would be that he finds his b******s and David's chin at the same time. I believe I know why he's given up the European title. He won the lottery by knocking out Sprott."

"He was losing that fight and got out of jail when he pulled out a shot to stop him. He thinks that will get him a fight with David, Vitali or Wladimir Klitschko. That would make him around £1million. But he knows if he were to lose his mandatory European title fight to Alexander Dimitrenko it's all over.I would not like that fight as a boxing purist," he said. "In Britain, it's a fight people would like to see and it would generate some money in pay-per-view sales. But the criticism dumped on David would be horrific. He would be branded a coward and people would say he was running away from the Klitschkos. He would be shot to pieces."

Yeah. If he had turned round in April and say "fighting Wladimir is going to be climax of my career...but first I'm going to teach Old Man Hopkins a lesson and then I'm going to shut Audley Harrison's mouth up for good" then I'd have gone -fine, not the best fights but they have box office appeal and I don't begrudge anyone making money, let alone fighters. Indeed I was surprised when Haye was so quick to dismiss either fight.

But after months of Haye attacking the Klitschkos for fighting ranked heavyweights, of saying he only wants to fight the best, that he wants Wladimir to be his next fight, that he's the biggest star, that he wants to retire in 2011 the unified champion, that he wouldn't take the Harrison fight in a million years, that Adamek isn't worthy of facing him... I'm just sick to the back teeth of him.

He's killed any interest I had in a Haye-Harrison fight (and it was there after the Sprott fight) by trying to play us like fools - its like he thinks he can say anything that comes into his head and we won't notice when he contradicts himself or goes back on his word. And let's face it, he got offered an AMAZING deal to fight the Klitschkos. Can anyone think of a previous time when a challenger's got a 50/50 deal with a unified champion? He could have been the centrepiece of one the biggest fights of the year (quite possibily the biggest actually) and he's blown it completely.

Great couple of shows, although listening to the Haye v Audley pieces was a bit infuriating. talking about how only the boxing 'purists' don't like this fight and its a fight for the whole of UK blah blah blah. There wasn't one mention of how Booth and Haye have said numerous times before that its a pathetic fight and one that they wouldn't entertain.

All this talk about it being a fight for the general public, you lose most of them straight away by putting it on PPV FFS! and most of the new fans gained from this momentous occasion will be put off by a farcical one sided contest. The only winners from this fight are a few peoples bank account.

Haye vs Harrison is a nonsense, whichever way people want to dress it up. Harrison is dreadful and has been for a good while. It's a joke that this fight is even being considered, embarrasing actually.

It would be okay if Harrison was actually any good. He's crap though and has proved this time and time again, against poor opponents. Why would he suddenly find some hunger and aggression against one of the best fighters in the division? Surely he'd just go further into his, already massive, shell?

I personally dont mind seeing Haye-Harrison but it is telling that Sky's poll the other day had 66% I think not wanting to see this fight. This perhaps shows that the general mug sports fan is not buying into it as I thought they would.
