Bunce hour

Andy Kerr seems to know his stuff, I wasn't sure at first and thought he might just be a stuffed shirt but he seems genuinely into the sport. He doesn't mind playing the straight guy for Buncie either.

The daft thing is I work continental shifts so I'm off a lot of Thurdays but I had to work today and missing Bunces Boxing Hour was annoying me all afternoon!!

 

andy kerr tbh just seems like one of us who happens to be a tv presenter. seems to of landed on his feet.

why dont they tell dempsey to **** off an stick with him. he is probs making half the cash for 5 times the work

 

Dempsey was very poor when he stood in for Kerr a few weeks back.

 

What the hell was Bunce up to on Saturday night?? Sounded like he was pished off his head, saying Vit Klit has just "blown a big sexy kiss through the heavyweight division" and calling one of the Pussycat dolls a tranny. Im pretty sure this was not Vitali Klits intention. Interestingly Bunce didnt reappear for Dawson Tarver, someone must have been throwing the coffee into him at that stage.

 

Dempsey tries a bit too hard with all "you dear sir, have a big following in the UK" and all that jazz.

I thought Kerr would have slowed down his speech for Vitali though. He just carried on like he was talking to Enzo Mac!

Great show all round.

 

Andy and Bunce make a great team. The chess was hilarious.

I think Kerr is actually a better presenter than Dempsey, or at least he is for boxing. And interestingly, from the Setanta website: "He has achieved his British Boxing Board of Control MC licence, and regularly works as a ring announcer."

 

I've always like Dempsey but he was crap the other week with Hopkins and Pavlik. It's good to see Andy Kerr coming through the ranks but he did call Chad Dawson...Chad Johnson for the first 30 minutes of the show on Sunday morning. I hope Setanta will show the 24/7 Calzaghe/Jones shows but I doubt it.

Excellent point, Dempsey's ego gets in the way and he butts in on Bunce, the youngster knows his role and it makes for a better show.

 

LOL at the tranny comment - my Mrs was in shock when he said that !!!

It was always the plan for him to cover the Klit fight and leave - he said he was dissapointed; would rather have covered the LHW fight.

 

The 24/7 show is very expensive. It is rumoured to cost HBO 1 million dollars per episode and you know they are not going to give that away!
Just to clarify a small point...I never have a drink before a show. Trust me...once the show goes off that is a very different story.

I think you need a drink watching heavyweight fights to be honest.

My day consisted of watching Leeds Utd vs Brighton followed by a few beers at the pub next to the stadium....

Then a quick ten minute walk home....

Where I discovered I had ran out of beer, so started on the RED WINE atsch whilst the build up and fight was on.

I was so pissed I had to watch the fight again in the morning to remember who won

 

red wine's a bad idea man haha
