Buncey, can't believe you've now posted three comments up here. I know you're only trying to hit a record number of posts. On a weekend when Lockett got bashed up by Pavlik, Mayweather retires, Mitchell comes through another war ... and much more on a busy boxing weekend ... you still get more posts than anyone. Amazing!

 

Post number 51. NOBODY from a single website phoned it. It was advertised during the Lockett fight and on Setanta since last Thursday. I have to tell you that is shite for potential sponsors/advertisers on this and other sites. It makes it look and sound like this is a little club for a dozen or so boys and men to trade insults - hardly a place that a advertisers will be falling over themselves to be a part of.

If people didn't phone in, it would be Setanta that look shite, not this website. If people didn't realise it was on, that could be down to the way it was advertised. I watched all of the Pavlik show yet don't remember it being mentioned.
If you had your eye on us "internet boys", then you could have easily posted something on here (and other websites) to get us interested. The phone lines would have been buzzing, I'm sure.

 

What have 'advertisers' got to do with anything? Last time I checked this place (and others like it) was just a cheapo boxing forum and a place for people who love the sport to spout **** about it. I don't think anybody's getting on their high horse and looking to build it into something it's not. It is what it is. If people don't phone in, so what? It's their choice. I didn't know about the thing.

Personally, I think what Bunce is doing on Setanta is brilliant. I think he's brilliant and I think the coverage is improving with each show. As far as fights shown, Setanta's leaving Sky Sports well and truly in the dust. If they could only get the legendary Ian Darke to replace the God-awful John Rawling. Then they'd really be in business. ****, I'd even take Adam Smith.

Couldn't agree more Dunky. I've seen so much negative stuff about the big man on these boards, but then again there seem to be lots of people who only come on here to hate. Fair enough, he gets a bit carried away at times and comes out with some pearlers, but they just make me laugh and I think a lot of the time they're intended that way. End of the day he's the most enthusiastic pundit I know of and that can surely be no bad thing.

 

And how many of the self styled experts on here did the self same thing? I wasn't one of them and always favoured Mayweather, but I certainly had a nagging thought that Hatton could pull off the upset, as I'm sure most of us did, so was Buncey really so far of the mark there?

 

I get my fixing talking about the sport on here...why would I have to speak to the biased Bunce?
