Harry Otty's homage to Charley Burley is also a work of love. It also costs a bleeding fortune now!
I will be devoting the last Boxing Hour of the season (July 29th) to summer reading and dvds.

    Adios.

On Thurs 29th July on BBC London 94.9 I will do a 'summer reading' special during the boxing hour.
Thomas Hauser will be on to talk about his brand new boxing novel.
Candace Toft will be on to talk about her impressive Ron Lyle book.
George Kimball will be on to talk about his latest boxing book called The Fighter Still Remains: A Celebration of Boxing in Poetry and Song from Ali to Zevon.
Plus, I want to compile a list of boxing books that you want to read.
More on this closer to the date, but please put it in your diary.

    Adios.

I wanted big Thomas Hauser for that show before I knew about his review of my book. I also had no idea that his book was a novel set in the world of boxing.
Aw heck, he's a quality writer!
Hopkins book would work. A tacky cuttings job on Mayweather would also work.
    Adios.

I would like to read a warts-and-all autobiography from Frank Warren. It's obviously not going to happen while he's still top dog but I would love to find out how he operated. Along with the Terry Marsh... sorry, the masked gunman incident, Warren has had confrontations with most people in British boxing and TV networks. I'd love to know about his special link to the WBO. I reckon he's got more than a few tales to tell from the last 20 years or so.

I heard not long ago that Frank is bringing out an autobiography. It may already be released.

It will be full of self indulgent crap just like his newspaper column.

I doubt there could be much else because it would land him right outside the High Court :hey
