It doesnt make any difference about 'not being known outside of the die hards' at this moment in time .. Monzon is one of those rare fighters that will live forever in legend and in mystique, in a sport that revels in short term mediocrity, Monzon in 50 years will be the equivalent to Jack Dempsey and the guy that writes the definitive biography will also take his place in history .... Boxing Fiction only has a market in 'die hard' boxing fans, books about Watson only has a market in 'die hard' fans .... A book about Monzon will stand the test of time .... When you're one of the very best, individual nationality means nothing .... Jofre and Napoles are more for the specialist field but surely not Carlos Monzon ..

 

As Buncey said, these books having a long shelf life is one thing, actually going through the process of getting them on the shelf is harder.
