    Think about it Jon.

I have been posting here since 2004, I dont need to explain myself.

Im loved & hated in equal measure. To simply label me as some sort of nobody who only talks to the so called 'stars' here is the ultimate disrespect to my good name.

My ESB legacy stands up to the ultimate scrutiny.

I think you owe me an apology Jon, but I wont hold my breath.

I look at p-p-v this way...it's here so we have to live with it. Is it SKY's best p-p-v? No. Is it the first with Amir Khan? Yes. Is Amir exciting? Yes. Is Alex and Nicky a cracking fight? Yes. In an ideal world both fights would be on BBC at 9 next Saturday but would they fight for peanuts? No. Also, somebody mentioned me getting on SKY? That is one for the Christmas *******s. That is comical - the top bananas at SKY would rather sell their grannies than have me near their output - please get some advice on the history.

    Adios.

Why does it matter that it's Khan's first Sky fight :huh

So you only have to be exciting to be able to charge this amount against an unknown?
Arthur v Cook is a good fight but it should be on Sky Sports 1.
It's a disgrace that this is a PPV.
WTF is the point of paying for the sky sports package nowadays :(

I have to say I agree with the above post. A PPV with no world title fights, unless it is an established PPV star like Tyson, is a bit silly.

What happened to that chap who used to present Bunce's Boxing Hour? I thought he was really good and now it seems he's been replaced. As David Haye would say, what's that all about?

Sky's double dipping is a disgrace at the best of times, but this one really takes the ****.
Why shouldnt the initial subscription fee cover this, like it would on Setanta and on Sky once upon a time.

The way I look at it - charging boxing fans £15 on top of our Sky subscription to watch a young boxer (who has yet to clear up domestically) fight an unknown just isn't on.

Yes Arthur v Cook is a decent domestic fight but it still doesn't make the bill PPV worthy in my honest opinion.

Yeah don't worry about him he's a ****. 39-1 Amateur record though.

:deal Honestly....:**** Despite the fact that not one amateur in the recent ABA history has managed such a streak of victories- what a ****.

Totally agree. Cooks already had his limitations at 'world' class cruelly exposed and while i'm a big believer in Arthur this could easily pass as a decent British title fight at the Meadowbank Leisure centre as opposed to a 'world' title fight at the MEN ARENA ON SKY BOX OFFICE If it wasn't for the Khan express.

    Bollocks, you ****ing sell out!

You get upset, irate and OTT as soon as you hear the word "and we're live".

You've said far worse and if you are advising people to shell out money for this PPV then you're a bigger ****ing donkey than I first suspected. How can you seriously advise people to buy this crap. Can you not see the harm it is doing???

Well said i'm afraid Buncey apart from the donkey part....

You had an oppertunity to make a statement on behalf of EVERY real boxing fan who's sick of been treated like a cash cow.

    Instead you failed.

Just another point in this regard. The amount the fight is been sold for is not the issue. Its the whole **** taking aspect that boxing fans, again are been taken advantage of.

Its like someone selling you a Snickers for 4 quid.

I'm not telling anybody to buy the p-p-v. I'm saying that it's 2008 and far too late to start complaining about charges for fights. If I led a campaign in The Independent against this fight being on p-p-v do you think one extra reader would buy the paper? If I led a campaign against this fight on Buncey's Hour do you think one less viewer would buy the p-p-v? The answer is 'No' to both questions. Here is a third...if I led a campaign against the p-p-v do you think Frank Warren and Khan's people would ever welcome my resquest for an interview? I don't need to answer that one do I. Here's another question...how many journalists have received legal letters and threats after dismal Khan fights? There is just one...yep, I think you just guessed correctly.

Adios and enjoy the Calderon fight later tonight.

I suppose first and foremost as a boxing journo our friend would have to be seen to be accomodating, especially given how much of a big baby Frankie is!
