Seriously fella - is Buddy Mcgirt worth angina? Steady son. Need to be looking after yourself fella.

Always funny to see Buncey in a rant though.

I think it's more to do with the praise that all these American trainers get like Mcgirt and how we're all meant to bow to them and we should send our boys over there.

Mcgirt isn't the great trainer that everyone seems to assume.

With that voice though he'd make a great preacher or salesman.

If I'm right Mcgirt has trained Brewster, Gatti, Tarver, Forrest and now trains Malignaggi, Mads Larsen, Timo Hoffman and is he still training Paul Smith?

    Buncey does go O.T.T sometimes:lol:

Other than that he needs to start giving both Wlad and Vitali respect as opposed to licking Hayes arse hole clean every 3 seconds.

McGirt did a good job with Gatti, but apart from that he's a very average trainer IMO. He gets a lot of praise for his over the top American style rants to his fighter in the corner.

Gatti, Brewster, tarver, forrest - I really don't get why Mcgirt is sensationalised so often.

Buncey is right, if Buddy Love was a trainer from any other country no one would even bother with him. His track record as a trainer is not exactly superb.

Seriously I can not count on one hand how many times I have seen a Buddy fighter win against a similar level opponent.

The rants are all part of the package and are what makes for good, sometimes controversial, TV. Keep it coming - it's like having an argument with a knowledgible mate in the boozer: you just keep dropping "hate" names until he blows... step back and enjoy the fireworks.

The problem is, this DG and others aside, there's nothing else out there... unless you buy the various mags every week / month. Talking of which, is The Ring a con? So far behind the times it's hardly worth buying; but then you hit on some of their old stuff - reviews of books and obituaries etc - and it's actually okay. Can't wait to see how they handle the ODL fight though - probably cover that next July!!

It is just nationalistic fervour. No one can also deny that Haye is not a good thing for the HW division, due to a variety of reasons. I am not getting too excited because I dont think he has a chin, and that as soon as he tastes genuine HW power from either Klitchsko, in a consistent manner, he will get beaten.

They're not always great, but they're usually a lot better than British trainers.
