Steven please. Generally you speak quite a bit of sense but this is not one of those occasions. When the Pacman has fought someone other than the handpicked and weakest champ in the division then he may be able to make a claim to be being the best, but until then........

Not in my book, he looked very impressive beating Diaz and I can understand the argument that he's number 1 at Lightweight but one fight is not enough for me, he needs to beat either Campbell or Casa to PROVE he's the man, not just step up and get one win against a pretty average champ.

 

Gotta admit, after those clips my opinion of Bunce has got much better, I used to always bad mouth him coz I disagreed with some of his predictions and I believed he was just saying what he was paid to say, but it turns out he's just like the rest of us....a passionate fan with the opportunity to say his piece and thats exactly what he does and good on him imo. He
is bang on the money with his Khan statements and the fact he mentioned
SKY on Setanta and got kinda told off for it just goes to show he is a true boxing fan who doesnt let rules get in the way of his opinions (a pundit like that is long overdue imo) and for all my past judgements I apologise to Steve.

However, im still sceptical that the bunce on this forum is legit coz no-one worth their salt in boxing circles can possibly believe that Pacman is the number 1 fighter in arguably the hottest division in the sport without fighting at least one of the elite 135lbers

Steve, if thats really you then what is your opinion on the fact that before David Diaz, only 4 of Pacs last 10 opponents were coming from a win? not really the record of a living legend imo. I love watching Pac coz he is an exciting fighter but I dont think anyone can truly believe that he has faced the toughest opposition available. In fact, imo his best victory was the 1st Barrera fight and imo he has never beat an elite boxer since. (JMM beat him twice imo and im not alone in that regard)

Anyway, if that really is you Steve then I take my hat off to you for mixing with the guys in the forum and defending your corner.

He's on TV mate, he expresses an opinion and it gets debated. I'm sure he prefers it that way rather than us not talking about his show/ opinions at all?
