Looks like me and you Steve. I'll bring the crisps. I thought there would be a few on here going to the Essex show....
Nice, would love to go but my girlfriend has organized a special Christmas treat for me in London tomorrow night. Great.
I enjoyed last night's show but it kind of made me miss the old Setanta stuff. Kind of pissed me off when everyone was talking over the first part of the show though. Jim McDonnell was ace. Really enjoyed what he had to say and the Danny Williams elavator story for the Tyson fight was great. Glad I went along. Cheers Buncey.
It was a top night, the elevator story was good, but I have to say the Charlie Magri story from Jeff Gregus (sp) was the pick for me. He could sell a story.
Sounds like a good night, was hoping there'd be a show in Liverpool and I'm gutted I couldn't get along to the Manchester one. Care to enlighten us about the Danny Williams lift story?
Jim McDonnell tells it well.....now imagine the whispy/squeeky voice of Jim. "So we get to Kentucky, and anyone who knows Danny will know mentally he's not great, physically, he's got everything but boxing is 80% mental. Anyway, we're in this lift its 4 in the morning and we're going for a run. We get to the bottom, the doors open and whos' there.....Tyson, with three of his minders just coming into the lobby. Danny's first reaction is "Jim, Jim, get back in the lift, its Tyson." I'm telling him to get out of the lift, he's going backwards. I convince him to go out, I say "Good morning gentleman" and Tyson gives Danny THE look, the one he's beat dozens of guys with. As we get outside, I say to Danny "We've just won the fight, we might as well go home, its done, we won" And from that moment on, Danny was right there."
Thanks for coming. Stinky's Magri story was ace. Adios and thanks for being at this show and the other 11. Bunce.
