He did say 'hard sell' during the fight. He was negative about Big Mac rightly so, not as much as he would have been had he not been in a company position, ie he would have been calling for his retirement otherwise.
There will be a rematch after that.. If not everyone involved in that fight is a ****, I have never seen anything like that before it was blatant cheating of the highest order..
:rofl This post cracked me up. Bunce constantly gets **** posted about him round here yet keeps coming back and rarely gets pissed off by it. Insult after insult calling him useless etc. Then the one time he reacts: 'Alight calm down '
McPhilbin caught Enzo with about 55 seconds left in the first round, Enzo went down heavily with his legs doing a bit of a dance, he started to get up then took a knee for the eight count, got up and looked shaky but was allowed to continue. Before the fighters could resume the action the bell rang with round about 40-45 seconds left. Pandemonium ensured with no one really knowing if the bell had gone, so the doppy timekeeper rang it again at which point the seconds entered the ring and the fighters sat on there stools. Chances are McPhilbin may have finished it in those 40 seconds or so, he certainly would have been a short price to do so. He put Enzo down again in the 2nd or 3rd I think it was but after that seemed to have some trouble breathing and kept spitting outside the ring several times a round. He barely threw a punch in anger after that, Enzo also barely threw anything and seemed to have trouble pulling the trigger, he did however do more than Shane in the remaining rounds and also got credited with a dodgy knockdown which assisted him. He won unanimously on the cards by 4 or 5 pts or thereabouts
Who would you prefer in his position Lirva? I think Bunce is excellent, is honest within the boundaries he has to stick within as an employee and a pundit. Speaks directly to the fans on a regular basis. Passionate and genuinely knows his stuff.
Cheers for that mate. You said McPhilbin had problems breathing and kept spitting outside the ring. I dont suppose it could have been bad and ended up like a Gerald McClellan scenario?
No mate nothing like that, there was no blinking he was fully with it just struggling to get his wind, unclear if it was nose - there was nothing obvious but no Shane is fine, a little more belief I think and he would undoubtedly have connected again and had the same result but he seemed almost a little in awe of Enzo and spoke afterwards of how much of an honour it was to be in the ring with him and to have put him down twice was beyond his wildest dreams or something along those lines.
I noticed Steve Lillis this morning said on twitter he hopes Enzo retires. Shocking language from Buncey here though.
