    Controversial character,but I like him{his mate too} on Boxnation.Comes across as a bit nutty but entertaining,keen and knowing his stuff.Would like to see his lifestory from amateur days to the present.Bet hes got some anecdotes.Any thoughts?

    Spot on mate.
    The kindness and patience he showed us after the Burns-Mitchell fight was completely at odds with his on screen persona.
    Happy to talk boxing with punters and never once seemed eager to get away or avoid any subject(outwith my request for him to come back on here:patsch)

    Sometimes it takes meeting someone to realise that some people are only hamming it up for media outlets as jonny so accurately put it.

    He bows to his masters these days.

    It's amazing how someone whom had that Setanta slot and the whole show setup was entertaining, did his own thing and everything just synced, it was fun to watch back then.

    Compared to now which is crap crap crap, his show is trash , he tows the line, he just shouts over people while fights are on about nonsense.

    I think it's about time the like of Andy Kerr and the Setanta production team got some real credit, Buncey is complete shite and those other guys made that Setanta what it was.

    Thanks.Suspected that his eccentricity on camera was a bit of an act.Found his long conversations with Steve Lillis fascinating last night,great TV.Must admit hes the best TV man Ive seen in a long time of watching boxing.Never met him but once had similar experience to yours meeting Johnny Nelson.Not in a boxing setting but took the time to chat and came across as a really decent guy.Regarding another book,suspect Steve will do one one day,as did Johnny{great read by the way}
