No way on planet earth will eddie hearn put in a golden goose like burnett is atm.
We and eddie included all know that burnett has hardly a chance at beating tete.

Hearn don't want his boy nowhere near tete

This speaks for himself imo, shows lack of confidence

Must admit I worry about Burnett in the future. His hospital visit after his last contest is kinda worrying.

I have the same feeling. Even against Haskins he looked like he had been run over by a tractor.

I’m not really a Burnett fan as he doesn’t entertain me much, but he is a tough kid and like every boxer I hope he makes a good living out of the game even if he fights a string of bums- I probably won’t be watching anyway.

If frank W was Burnetts promoter he wouldn’t let him anywhere near Tete either - I can’t really blame Hearn.

    And that’s the bottom line.

    Agreed

He made his last fight so unnecessarily hard on himself, he had the skills to outbox the boy but stayed in the pocket with him. Entertaining yes, but terrible idea in terms of longevity, especially for a kid who had head trauma as a child.

Burnett has bought himself time. He won a world title and then fought a tough unification fight. Him not fighting Tete next isn't something I would hold against him. Down the line though that fight should happen.

Eh, Tete couldn't put Villanueva away, Nery demolished him, ohhhh, he violently KO'd some nobody, so what. Burnett just shut out a vicious relentless damn good pressure fighter with relative ease and shut out Haskins, both better wins than anything Tete has on his resume.
