how s that boring? The fight 4 rounds old at the most thats all. I found ironic that a bloke with Steve Cunningham as his avatar would call somebody boring

 

Mendez would've beat the Ponce that Broner fought, and, unlike Broner, would've deserved the victory.

 

Kickett didnt outbox him IIRC, broner was in control most of the rounds :think

1. Broner was getting outboxed in the first 4 (and 5 until the KD) by a very average fighter with a horrible chin. You talk as though that's insignificant, it really isn't. The fact that Broner looked so average against Kickett is worrying, and is a valid point when assessing him as a fighter.

2. I said you were boring because you're just trying to big up Broner to in turn make Ricky Burns look better. Why? Broner is an average fighter who has looked poor against sub-par opposition, that's a fact that can't be changed.

3. Boring because I'm a fan of Cunningham? Or because he's a boring fighter? If it's the latter, then may I recommend Adamek/Cunningham? That's a very exciting fight, on a par with Froch/Taylor IMO.

 

Maybe so, Escalante had been in a few wars, still Escalante was on a good run, looked like he was right in his prime. Have to give Ponce credit for that beautiful ko anyways.

 

Really? I thought Kickett was ahead after 5. So did the commentators (not that their view should sway mine, but they saw it pretty similarly to me). Broner wasn't landing much clean and Kickett was pressuring him, I felt he was winning the bout.

It was close but I thought Kickett was winning it. Fair do's if you thought Brones was shading it, it was fairly close. Stuff like that is subjective though.

 

No matter who is the champion is it all comes down to peoples opinion of a good champion
I think Ricky has been a credit to Scotland and his family in his rain of champion yet because he has fought no one with real ratings according to most who post on hear he is only a token champion yet he is now fighting the number one and guys like fleaman are saying billy is talking him up so the win is justified this is madness Broner is a top boxer and has power since i was a wee boy 35years ago I was always told speed is power which is what Broner has so let get the fight on and stop all the bull**** fleaman

I really like Burns, and picked him to win easily!!!!! Doesn't mean because Broner is young and undefeated I reckon he's quality.

I know the name calling is dumb (and I don't try to come across as a twat), but when you biasedly back a fighter to make another seem better, it's pretty weak in my book. Broner is average and ain't nothing gonna change that.
