Bernard Hopkins got more chance of being world champion at 50 than Burns has of beating Broner.

Well it should be a 50/50 fight. Burns is the 'champion' and should be more experienced I'm just not at all convinced in him. I like him, his style makes for good fights but unfortunately I just don't rate him that high. He's struggled at British level before and hasn't even really got past that from what I can see. He's been managed well and the Martinez win was a good upset, but it's clear that Martinez was never that great and was in terrible condition for that fight. Since then not only have the opponents been shocking, but Burns hasn't impressed in any of them.

Adrien Broner isn't amazing by any stretch but he's still a damn sight more talented than Ricky Burns has ever shown to be. The WBO super featherweight belt belongs to Frank Wanker and has done for years. It looks like Golden Boy are buying it off him on November 5.

So Burns schools the no1 in the division at the time & all you can say is "Martinez wasnt that great"

Martinez was not No.1 and Burns didn't school him. and he wasnt that great.

take nothing away from burns though it was a good win.

With al due respects Billy I dont see the pygmy Evensen going the distance with Broner or him taking as long with Layera. You're not really convincing me on the monster strength and size Billy:bart

I find it hard to believe that You are having ago at people opinion billy its only people opinions about the fight some are in favour some are not . now with regards to Ricky being the strongest sfw his record denies this as he has not had many stoppages on his record and i seen a lot of his fights and have never seen him KO anyone with one punch but I do agree he has a good work rate and is a talent but I feel he had a better chance against fana than Broner . now as I have stated I hope Ricky can win but because of Broners ability and punching power I believe Ricky is a big underdog and if the fight is in America he will be even bigger underdog now thats my opinion

if billy is telling burns he is the biggest and strongest etc, he is being a bad trainer. if he expects to be stronger and more powerful than broner, he is an awful trainer for telling his fighter that and deluding his fighter. if i was burns i would not attempt to pressurise broner, who is a very good counter puncher and will pick him apart. burns actually has no chance in this one. i will be placing a large sum on broner. i doubt many have watched him.

as i said, litzau is better than burns.

broner treated litzau like a genuine mug in the ring.

as long as burns can stick to a game plan and not get too cocky i believe he can beat anyone and be number 1 in his division, i thought a few years ago watching burns fight on setanta that he was going nowhere but fair play to the kid and billy nelson, youve done wonders, keep up the good work.

Martinez was not better than Fana, FFS. Nothing wrong with that, Martinez was a decent fight and a great win for Ricky as he stepped up in class.

    Let's not rewrite history indeed.

I aint rewriting history, Im just stating facts. wether some of you boys like it or not, Martinez was THE man in the division until the Rickster gave him a boxing lesson.

Im just telling it like it is, dont shoot the messenger!
