I only expect scots (or brits) to defend a fighter who has already lost 2 fights recently

yeah, like the mediocre Klimov got ANNIHILATED!!! right?

who has Crawford ever "annihilated" at top level?

Crawford: shutout over a passed it Prescott

Kevin Mitchell: shutout over a prime Prescott

Ricky Burns: TKO 4 Kevin Mitchell :deal, THAT was an annihilation!

Yes I am british but even if I wasn't the fact is burns may of lost a couple of fights early in his career but he has been unbeaten since changing trainer and one of them fights was to a world champion, im not purely saying burns will win to wind people up but Crawford has fought nobody his performance against klimov was a terrible fight the opponent is not even in the top 30 in the world and he couldn't win inside the distance. Crawford may be skilful and have good footwork but burns is a different animal compared to anything else he would of faced. Crawford might win the early rounds but he has never been 12 rounds with anyone half decent and especially against a champion and someone as hard to beat as burns , you can say what you want but they are the facts!!! Burns like I said will stop him once Crawford enters the championship rounds 10-12 for the first time, he might become great but he doesn't have the poise to go to Glasgow and take the title on this occasion.

what 2 fights did he lose?

and I am neither scottish or british

and how does picking Burns make someone biased?

try Gonzalez and beltran, his last 2 fights
burns only fights in Britain, and he got gifted decisions because of it

its embarrassing for boxing when a hometown champ keeps his 'title' even though he looked more like the challenger in both fights

Gonzalez got beat pal he hit ricky with everything like Crawford will but didn't have the stamina or heart to finish the job and bottled it once he realised burns is a serious tough mother and he couldn't win, I agree beltran was unlucky but if you cant finish a fighter who fought with a broken jaw for ten rounds he doesn't deserve to be champion

Fair point but do you honestly believe Crawford has fought anybody decent so far in his career?
