oh, so you win fights by quitting now do you? atsch because that's what Gonzales did. you may continue.
look at you, bringing all this common sense into the Thread. you know they don't do common sense around here. let them believe what they will, because they're the ones who will look silly when feather fists doesn't come close to annihilating Burns.
so you expect Crawford to quit on his stool then? not a bad prediction considering the Yanks like to quit an awful lot. he may just do that. :good
to be fair though, Burns did have his jaw broken due to him throwing his punches too wide. if you're going to leave yourself open like that, you're going to get hit clean on the chin. i hope they're working on getting back to his boxing, keeping a tight guard, and making his punches short and not wild and all over the place like in his last two fights.
Don't remember Gonzalez winning mate, from what I remember he quit. also ,it's ok to say Burns only fights at home, so when he went into Carl Johannesons backyard in Leeds sick as a dog on a few weeks notice, being dropped 3 times, twice by monster body shots yet got up to survive and only lose by 7 points, it was his 17th fight, was that a home fight? Sven Ottke my balls Kevin Mitchell KO'd Johanneson in a war btw Gonzalez couldn't stop Burns, Arthur couldnt stop Burns, Mitchell sure as hell couldn't stop Burns, Johanneson couldn't stop him, Katsidis couldn't stop him, Beltran couldn't stop him despite breaking his jaw IN THE SECOND ROUND (regardless of the result, Beltran should have won) all arguably harder punchers than Crawford, what the hell gives you the impression Crawford is going to destroy Burns? And one last thing, I wouldn't take it out on Burns that Beltran got robbed, Burns himself admitted he wanted the rematch(but they forced Crawford on him, a man many people said he would duck of course) and that after his jaw was broken he was only interested in survival, he said it was "the worst night of my life" and says he can't even bring himself to watch the footage. So hardly some pampered champion ready to accept any gift he gets, Ricky Burns fought his way up the hard way
Interesting quote from Burns "When you'e card watching, you know theres a problem, 4.....5.......6............7...... it was going so slow, but I promised myself I would never quit in the ring" referencing the fact he was counting down the rounds as the ringcard girls stepped into the ring he was in so much pain
I'm going to order this but HBO should've picked it up. They should be trying to promote TC like they do some other fighters.
Burns is to slow and flat footed for Crawford and his inability to control the range against a fleet footed mover with fluid lateral movement and a good jab will be his downfall here. Burns comes forward and has a high work rate, but it will be case of quantity vs quality here and his come forward aggression will just play into the hands of the much more composed and accurate Crawford, who will pick him apart. Yeah, Crawford hasn't beat anyone yet, but some of us know potential when we see it and Crawford is simply better than Burns, it's called the eyeball test and understanding what it is you are looking at when you watch someone fight, not basing your opinions on where a fighter comes from or using boxrec logic of who beat who. And for the record, the people picking Burns to beat Crawford seem to be the same people who thought Cleverly was a genuine World class fighter (because they were told he was) who was going to beat Kovalev
Cant disagree with your post as its your opinion but my opinion is all this talk of Crawford winning easily is laughable, burns will be his hardest fight by a mile and he won't have it all his own and be able to dictate like the journeymen he has faced previously
http://www.awetv.com/ Going to have to hook up the laptop to the tv. It says they have 3d programming I might end up doing that.
