Not interested in Burns after the Beltran farse...it's not his fault I know but that's the way it is for me....also his team could have at least had the decency to have waited a couple more months so that we would have half forgotten about poor Ray to announce/leak his next fight.

Its not Burns' fault, Crawford is his mandatory defence. I'm sure given the opportunity to pick his next opponent Ricky would sooner right that wrong.

And believe when I say I'm no Burns fanboy, you could see from his reaction when the result was announced he knew Beltran shoulda won.

Absolutely terrible fight for Burns on all levels. Bad stylistic match-up and not exactly a big money fight.

I would say Burns would get very well paid given the fact the fight may be in MSG and Crawfod is the mandatory, I'm sure Crawford's promoter would need to pay very well or Hearn wouldn't be doing his job correctly?

Definitely going to lose. Should have lost to Gonzales and Beltran and I fail to see how he beats Crawford.

But Solaris you are one of the more negative posters on the forum, I'm sure Burns/Nelson will relish this challenge and a chance to make a name for themselves in the states.
Personally I see Burns beating Crawford to experienced and Burns looks much stronger physically

I'm not negative at all. Based on his last two performances he loses, simple as that. He will need a minor miracle to turn things around as he has been outclassed twice in a row.

He was only a paper champ anyway.

I don't think this is the case. Billy is under the impression it will either be beltran in glasgow or a certain someone on the undercard of haye fury in Manchester.

It's amazing how little media coverage Burns receives as a world champion in Eddie's stable. Forget about Beltran or Crawford, I think Burns can beat both if he fights a disciplined fight, however, both are high risk/low reward. After being matched with a low-risk opponent in Jan/Feb, it's time to put Ricky in with Vazquez or Abril.

Nothing in return. It's a manditory defense.Burns will be better off giving up the title and fight elsewhere.
