Vasquez has been offered a fight with Gamboa presumably at 135 for the IBF.

    Who wins?

How would Burns or Broner deal with Gamboa?

I doubt Broner will fight at 135 again.

If Vazquez and Gamboa meet, Burns/Hearn should target the winner. Who cares if he loses? Reputations can often be enhanced even in loses. Fight the best.

Gamboa beats Vasquez but loses to Broner and Burns...

A lot of people rate Vasquez on here I don't,his two best wins are against Prescott and Gesta other than that he's been defending his Ibf strap against nobodies for the last five years.

    Watching him fight is agonizing

I think burns would beat gamboa relatively easily, gamboa got good attack but he's wide open. Ricky to smart for him

We've got better Lightweights in the UK than Vasquez.

He's a paper champion who has been fighting nobodies for the last five years and looking awful doing so.

I never said he was a bad fighter btw,I just don't rate him as being on the same level as Burns,Broner or Gamboa.

Not very entertaining I grant you but he is a very skilled boxer. I can't see anyone looking good against him even Gamboa. A real pickpocket in that ring.

Team Burns will be rubbing their hands together if a Gamboa fight can be made. If Gamboa fights the fight he did in the last one, Ricky will finish him if Ricky fights the way he did against the hot headed, reckless and bravado Kevin Mitchell. Aint been in the ring for a while though, so maybe a tune up would be better before fighting on that level.

Still think he would get the job done, but it would depend on how Gamboa comes in, if he comes in reckless, Ricky will take a step back, analyze, and finish the job.

I think they understood Vazquez was a hell fight for Ricky stylistically. But they will maintain there are no easy fights at that level. But out of the three mentioned, I'd be confident Ricky could beat Gamboa, but not so sure about the other two.

He's better than all the LWs in the UK EXCEPT Burns (maybe). He'd make Broner look awful.

He looks the goods alright fighting static zombies like Mercito Gesta and that primary school teacher he fought before that but happens when he actually fights someone world class.

    I'm not convinced
