The NY case has nothing to do with Burn getting a good offer from GBP. Saying what you want is not the same as what you are actually worth. They made the fight with DeMarco without any problem. Demanding a crazy figure is akin to just not wanting the fight.

And on that NY case, GBP were guilty of not filing paperwork in a timely manner and nothing more. Legal action was threatened to the "reporter" who broke the story you have brought up. Sloppy journalism as you say and I'm surprised you didn't look into it further before bringing it up.

The three-member committee voted unanimously to lift the suspension, a move that was accompanied by the $10,000 fine.

"Golden Boy agreed to submit all of the proper paper work and all of the contracts for the May 15 event. And they agreed to a $10,000 fine. Basically, they didn't submit everything that they needed to submit to the athletic commission for the fight," said Roth.

"We realized it, they realized it, and we were able to come to an agreement as they submitted their paper work. They have a small fine, and we removed the suspension and we'll go on with our lives," said Roth. "From our end, they forgot to cross their T's and dot their I's and they realized it, we realized it, we came to an agreement, and we're moving forward."

 

I dont fancy Gamboa against Vasquez at this stage of their careers, Gamboa has been too inactive, who knows what weight class he will fight in, or how he will look against top level guys.

Last time out he was not the Gamboa of 2 years ago! he's been asking for Juanma! that tells the story. Vazquez beats him for me.
