Ricky Burns was floored and beaten and spent the night holding on for dear life and received a ****ing draw, Beltran is the real Champ.

A ****ing travesty only the most biased **** can see it any other way
FFS Jim Watts biased ass had it for Beltran, say it aint so

Burns, is the new Ottke what a shameless bunch of ****s over there.

how did you score the fight? please I need a sanity check.

I would not call it a robbery, It was close I had same score as the commentator 115-113 for Beltran but There were a few rounds, 3 and 11 that could have gone the other way and made it a DRAW.
Now the judge that had burns 115-112 is off for sure but the overall decision of a draw is within reason.

I'm from the uk.. it was a clear robbery. Feel sorry for beltran and its bad for boxing and the uk when decisions like this happen. I cannot for the life of me see how one judge had ricky winning by 3 points + he was knocked down... very weird.

Explain why you call Jim Watt a biased"ass" yet you said that he said Beltran won the fight. It`s all toys thrown out the pram when ONE wrong decision goes Burns way against an American trained fighter. All of a sudden it`s all UK fighters are Ottkes and all foreign fighters that fight in the UK are 2 points down before the start.Bollocks.

Yes. Bad decisions are hurting boxing, but I have seen so really bad ones in America. Matthysse because a puncher because he knew he could never win a decision in America. It happened to Sergio Martinez, Kotelnik, etc.........

Brown Vs. O'Bell was perhaps the worst.............

A Ricky Burns fan here, from Scotland, and that was indeed a robbery. The ref was absolutely dire and nights like that hurt boxing badly.

The word robbery is a bit strong imo.
I had Beltran 3 points up at the finish.
Go look at the RBR thread if you want to see some really silly scoring, IB had Beltran winning 118-109 :patsch

I am Scottish, it was robbery Ricky held throughout fight, is second rate and is a paper champion. Bad night for boxing, and Embarrassing for Scotland, Burns is no Scott Harrison for sure. That was a proper world champion.

its very interesting how you have Scottish and English fans of Ricky who have a sense of fair play and admit it was a travesty for every 5 or 6 people you have 1 guy claiming it wasn't an outright robbery.

Just like you find a few nut jobs who saw Bradley win vs Pac the majority of fans can tell you where its at and the overwhelming fans say it was an out and out robbery of the most vile, I went through the round by round and guys were saying it was going to be a robbery. They were calling it before it happened. Burns was so systematically beat down that they only had the balls to call it a draw, imagine that.

The hometown fighter normally gets some sort of advantage, crowd cheering etc and perhaps given rounds that are borderline or unclear. I thought Beltran did enough to win the fight by 1-4 rounds. However, Ricky would have been given rounds that Beltran took a rest on. Basically, Beltran landed the heavier shots and was the aggressor. He won rounds more clearly, he even had a knockdown. Burns landed the lighter shots and won a number of rounds by basically tapping Beltran a few times when Beltran was taking a break or not attacking. Burns lucky to hold onto the title. He should do the decent thing and give Beltran an immediate UK rematch, once the injury heals.
Burns did not win the fight for me, Beltran should have closed the show to be sure of the result. Why he didn't? Who knows. :huh

Well Burns has a broken jaw which he apparently fought with for 10 rounds which would explain his lacklustre performance as he would have been in agony - but to carry on in such circumstances shows he has tonnes of heart & is a tough ****er.

Feel sorry for Beltran though, the judges ****ed it up completely he deserves a rematch

is hardly a good advertisement to world class fighters being asked to come over to britain and fight infront of the british public
maybe vazquez knew something beltran did not.
beltran should sue for loss of future earnings:!:

Yeah, deserves it like I said but did he get it? No.

    Therefore, rematch.
