I was over exaggerating of course, he is in the top 4 but I don't see a world class fighter at present. He hasn't proven himself at domestic level yet.... the Commonwealth title is little more than a souvenir at the minute. If he could stay out of trouble for 12 rounds and do enough good work he may take a points decision against Martinez, if the fight happens I will hope he does of course. I just feel people are just getting ahead of themselves here, that is all. I hope I am wrong :good
i can see both your point,but all ricky can do is keep winning and improving which no one can say he isn't,so give the man his chance and see him grasp it.
I like Ricky Burns, and always have done...its time to build on the improvement that he has shown and take a step up. The one thing that concerns me about Ricky is that he doesn't seem to have enough power to succeed at the top, but i'm sure that thats something that Billy is working on. Give the man a chance.
His power's improved in his last couple of fights, hopefully it continues. Mitchell gets hit too much to be successfull at world level imo.
