Tarver just means that Cotto hasn't got the same legs these days.

Cotto ain't getting no knock out Tarver. Ain't looked like bothering Mayorga, Mayorga's taking the ****. 154lbs doesn't suit him at all.

Good night of boxing all round, started off well with Zappa/Vazquez and kept going strong.

Surely Zbik-Chavez will seem to make most sense for Martinez next. I'd like him to put the final nail in Sturms coffin though to be honest.

Cotto isn't a big puncher at 147, let alone 154. Having only seen the end though, it appears he's still gutsy as ****.

Gonna' watch Martinez now, another amazing performance by the sounds of it.

Just watched both main events from the US...
Cotto again faded a bit late on but that left hook to drop Mayorga was brilliant. Where did Mayorga hurt his hand? :huh. It was a good fight, one-sided but entertaining. Mayorga had his moments. Cotto to me looked like someone who'd lost a lot of weight quickly, didn't look in the best of shape. Margarito rematch is going to be tough depending on how much Margarito has left. Manny Steward was saying before that he's got Cotto using both hands more now but to me it was still pretty much all left handed from Miguel.

Martinez was brilliant!!! Dziniziruk is a good fighter but Maravilla dismantled him, dropped only one round, maybe two. And the finish was clinical - the early KDs didn't really hurt Dzinziruk but after the first KD in Rd8 Martinez knew he had him and went after him. I don't know who he can fight next. There's a lot of young talent at MW but are they ready for Martinez? I don't think so. Would not mind a Sturm fight - Sergio would handle him as well - but it's not going to happen.

Well I called all the right winners. Some strange finishes though but overall good night of boxing.

The Cotto - Mayorga fight was entertaining and you never want to write Ricardo off. Great left hook at the end from Cotto and still have no idea how Mayorga hurt his hand. Must have been a delayed reaction but it must have been quite bad because I can't see why he'd just want to quit. Wish him all the best in retirement.

Martinez... well Maravilla just proved once again that he's one of the best in the world at the moment. Top performance.

Hopefully tonight will lead to massive fights for all the winners. DeGale v Groves, Burns v Fana, Cotto v Margarito and Martinez v Floyd (yeah I can see this happening somehow) could all be great matchups.

Good night of boxing last night.

Lee showed his limitations. I think he's as good as he's going to get unfortunately. If he isn't allowed to dictate the range he falls apart. McEwan needs to work on his conditioning. There's a good chance he would have won if he didn't gas.

Cotto did not impress. It was entertaining though. He should have gone to the body way more though. I don't think a rematch with Margarito would go too well for him still. Having said that, Mayorga was better than I thought he'd be. Like many others, I'd like to see Mayorga vs Margarito. Cotto should try to unify the titles. Cotto vs Alvarez makes plenty of sense.

Martinez looked great again. A bit too much show boating but if he's winning the rounds I have no problem with it. I've said it before, middleweight suits him. His power has improved massively and, combined with his style, he could potentially stop everyone in the division. I'd like to see him unify the titles then maybe have a crack at 168 before he retires. He shouldn't bother with Mayweather or Pac. If I had a p4p list he'd only be behind Pac.

I'd love to see Martinez get the chance to avenge his loss to Margarito.

Cotto Vs Alvarez has to happen. No catchweights. Let's see what Alvarez is really made of. Cotto is still on a steady decline IMO, but he should be too tough and seasoned for Canelo.
