Tickets for the big WBO World Super-Featherweight title showdown between Ricky Burns and Roman Martinez will go on sale tomorrow (Saturday 3rd July).

Titled 'Burns Night', Martinez v Burns headlines a super-card at the famous Kelvin Hall in Glasgow that also features an exciting showdown between John Simpson and Stephen Smith for the Commonwealth Featherweight Championship; plus the comeback of former British Featherweight Champion Paul Appleby and rising star John Thain.
    .

Burns, from Coatbridge, aims to join an illustrious list of great Scottish world champions including Jim Watt, Ken Buchanan, Walter McGowan, Jackie Paterson and Benny Lynch, and more recently Scott Harrison and Alex Arthur.

He faces a huge test against the fearsome unbeaten Puerto Rican puncher who has stopped 15 of his 24 opponents. Martinez won the title by demolishing Nicky Cook last year in Manchester and has made two successful defences - winning both by KO.

It's going to be a huge night so make sure you are there!

Tickets are priced at £40, £50, £75 and £150 from the following outlets

1st question, whens the actual date ?

2nd question, i always reckoned ringside would be pretty damn cool but a cpl people are saying the cheap seats are the ones in above balconys, this right ?

As the balconys look well cool.

    :good

Sep 4th is the date Hairy. Balcony seats are quite good. I might have to sacrifice a bill to get a ticket. You reckon they'll go quick?

I'm hearing that Burns doesn't have enough tickets to satisfy the demand. Ghost town in Coatbrig that night.

My missus aint letting me go coz she's due to give birth two weeks after Ricky's fight but she's convinced she'll go early. I told her I'm only about 100 miles away and I'd be back before she gave birth if it happened! She wasn't having it.

Anyone know a good divorce lawyer

It's the same night as my birds birthday.

I've never wanted to go to a fight more than this, well bar US superfights involving Mayweather ect so I'm going to just go to the fight and meet her and her pals at the party/club after hopefully, either this or she has it the next night instead. She has to understand.
