So by your logic even if a division is lacking quality..just like the SFW division was/is, you class the top few in a division as world class just because they're fighting or holding a version of a world title? That's daft, I define world class fighters as fighters of real quality, and have the resume to back it up.

Martinez was beating opponents in very impressive fashion..I watched him defend his title against Viloria, he looked **** poor until the KO, Nicky Cook was his best win IMO.

As for me picking Katsidis, yes I did..and?

When did I say Katsidis wasn't a good win for Ricky, It clearly was, even though Katsidis was over the hill it was no easy task.

I'm not exaggerating nothing, It's my opinion.

How do you define Amir Khan then? Not world class? I'd be interested to see the fighters that you consider as World Class in each division then because your description seems to be rather vague to be honest.

Yes, I do, in general, consider fighters who are World titlists or in the vicinity as World class fighters and it's hardly daft at all if you go by logic. You judge fighters based on the opposition around them in their weight class and if you are amongst the best in the world and fighting and beating other top ranked fighters, then you are world class. It's not hard to work out. And the fact other people have called you out on it suggests they think you're wrong too.

That's they're opinion, a few on here agree with me.

So by your logic Nicky Cook was a world class fighter? half of the belt holders in boxing don't mix with the top fighters in there weight class and get belts gifted to them, does that still make them world class?

As for Khan, even though he's had a few poor results he's also had some very good ones, so yes I would consider him world class.

The title means something if you're the number one and only in that instance you massive spastic so you deal with it and get ****ed.

The 40s was a dodgy time for titles funnily enough; WW2 saw some of the best champs out of the game, the NBA, NYSAC etc etc

Fact is, Moses beat Kobori, who wasn't all that good (I followed him at the time) and Moses' true ability at world level was shown when Acosta, definitely world class but not infallible, absolutely battered him.

Then he barely fought for a year or so an beat a couple of african journeyman.

So how 'World class' was Moses exactly?

think its going to be a very close fight was finding it hard to pick a winner,
but as the old saying goes 'a good englishman beats a good scottishman'.

Sadly world class today means something very different to even ten years ago.

The fact that Mitchell is even facing Burns for a title, that he won in an interim against a guy who had been decimated shortly beforehand, pretty much sums up how cynical the title picture is.

I don't worry too much about it as long as the fights are competitive.

now there is the usual criticisms of burns opponents since he beat /Martinez

but replace Burns with mitchell at that point, do you actually think that Mitchell would have had a different runs of opponents ? i dont think they would
