I am a massive Calzaghe fan mate. RJJ had Calzaghe down genuinely in the first and had he had his prime speed and reflexes would of finished the job. I cannot see anything other than a RJJ dominate win.

BHop had the abilities to defend even though he wasn't as tight as now, its his stamina that's the problem. If he stepped up workrate and landed more than he did then he wins. I don't take Joe lightly but I really feel Joe wasn't on the same levels.

Would it be that competetive? I don't see how Mitchell bothers him, Burns has a far superior jab. Stronger at light weight. Doesn't have a terrible defence. All Mitchell has is movement and trying to time a miracle counter but Burns does not leave himself open often.

I'd rather see him fight DeMarco or Rios. Why not? Rios didn't look good at 135lbs last fight so theres an opportunity to seize there. Based on that fight I don't see why Burns wouldn't fancy his chances of doing a similar thing as he did on Katsidis. Pepper him from the outside and play very safe when he gets close, exposing Rios's footwork.

Good thing about the burns fight is that it's made me nice and sleepy so powernap time now for salido-lopez

Wow I can't believe all the negativity Burns is getting. He completely outboxed a good fighter who is an ex world champ. Why all the hate? Burns Vs Mitchell is a very good domestic fight, stop being so negative.

It was cuff of wrist iirc. What would a clean right hook do?!? RJJ would really blow Calzaghe away with his lightening reflexes and genuine ko power. Ref stoppage like.

If Ricky keeps it tight and uses the jab I think it is very winnable. Linares was leaving gaps against DeMarco and I reckon Ricky could expose that.

Anyway... I think a Mitchell match up will drum up a lot more ineterest so I can see Frank pushing for that. OK with me though, that's one I want to see.

Alls fair in love and war......given the fact that Calzaghe is welsh I would have stuck the knee on him whilst he was on the way down.....Cherry picking **** :deal
