Mitchell v Crolla would be a good fight to be fair.

Moses was a good opponent. But it wasn't a great fight. Burns came through it and hopefully can get some more good opponents lined up and make some good fights.

What do you want us to say? He just beat the #31 ranked lightweight in a fight he was 7/1 on to win.

I'm disappointed they didn't hand the trophies over to Ricky though

    Nice one :good

Hopefully they show the Tanada-Rodriguez fight, I'm interested by that one.

I thought Burns was very good tonight. I've doubted him for a very long time, but I have to start giving him his dues.

Not a star in the sky here tonight. Believe me I would have been out long before now if I'd clear skies

I wouldn't say Mitchell has a huge speed advantage, and not so much that its a factor over and above the increased extension, technique and accuracy of Burns's punches. Not to mention ring smarts and foot work which are easily in Burns favour and would see him in better positions. For all these reasons I'd expect him to dominate Mitchell from the outside with ease. I just don't think its that good a fight, don't think Mitchell has the power to cause major issues nor the boxing ability, his vulnerable, he's tactically inept, I don't think he has the strength/durability to fight 12 at a pace, Burns is just by far the more solid/all-round package.

I agree in theory Rios stops him and should be too powerful, but he looked awful against Murray. All I'm saying is if there was ever a time to take on an established world name this would be a decent one when he cops a beating off Gamboa.
