What's this place in the Kelvin Hall like, Dunk? Is it just the same as the one where the Martinez fight was, but bigger? :think

**** knows Wallet, I have been to the kelvin Hall twice, to see Scotty versus the guy that fought Mitchell, & for Burns fight with Martinez. Havent been in the bit with the running track, & as both times I had a swally in me, my attention to detail is sketchy to say the least!

All I know is, I will be saving my pennies for this one, & will take some photos & vids to show you guys, win lose or draw.

Still a absolute ****ing **** i see Nelson. Has this guy ever had a real job, what you want a Blue Peter badge cause you hold pads in a ****ing ring. You got a belly the size of a bloated African, only difference is that poor ****er never had a hot meal, whilst yourself look like you eaten a family of Africans you fat ****.

I will bet my testicles this fight is called off you wheel in Stephen Hawkins as a late opponent.

    Fair enough.

If the atmosphere is anything like the Martinez fight then we'll be in for a treat. Even just watching it from home was brilliant. The atmosphere isn't going to bother a road-warrior like Kats though.

Something worth considering is how easily Katsidis can make 135 now. Coming down from 140 and he is a huge lightweight. :think

Stylistically I can see this Burns fight shaping up like the Vicente Escobedo fight. Escobedo, like Burns, was a long range fighter who struggled to keep Katsidis at bay, infact you might say he (Escobedo)got embroiled in a fight too much at times when he should of been trying to move more, but I think that's because he knew he had to get Kats's respect, otherwise he was just gonna keep coming.

Ricky is not the biggest puncher, but is going to have to get Katsidis's respect, so rather than run from him and surrender the momentum to Katsidis, he might need to box and!! fight, which Burns seems fairly good at, but I just worry that whilst he took Martinez's best shots, that Katsidis punches are more compact, as Martinez likes to wing his shots. Also, Burns fights pretty square, meaning he gives up both sides of his body, and Katsidis is going to be trying to work Burns's body.

Martinez put Burns over in that fight, so who's to say Kats wont put him over and out?

Burns is gonna have to be prepared to start fast to, as Kats comes out of the blocks fast.

Its a ******* of a test, but Im just proud of Ricky for taking it on my good man. I have always known hes brave, taking the Earl fight at late notice was a taster of things to come. Kats humbling of Mitchell means that I wont be predicting anything before this fight, as I respect mitchell greatly, & was genuinely worried about Burns fighting him. Im just happy Burns is taking on the best. You englanders & taffs have been spoiled in recent years of seeing your boys square up against the worlds big guns, whilst thanks to Scotty going mental us jocks have been starved of a truly humungous fight, thats where me & my fellow scottish boxing fans are right now, people need to remember that!

So Burns vs Kat? Its huge up here. Blows Broner out of the water excitement wise if you ask me.

I admire Burns and all, but I'm definitely cheering for Katsidis. I won't ever cheer against him in my life, even if for some reason he faced Cotto, which will thankfully never happen.

You need to remember though that everyone on here isn't a "English boxing fan" or a "Scottish boxing fan" like yourself. Yes, I usually have a bit of a leaning towards British/Irish fighters but I don't care where they're from.

It is a better fight than Broner, IMO. Looking at just the opponents, I prefer Katsidis but the problem is we haven't forgotten Ricky's awful title reign. There was no reason why he couldn't have fought Fana instead of any of Evensen/Laryea/Cook, especially if Ricky was feeling tight at the weight. Even if he had lost to Fana, fights with Katsidis and Mitchell would still have been here.

Can't really pretend I'm rooting for Ricky here just because he's Scottish and a nice bloke. Katsidis has been in some of my favourite fights of recent years, and I hope he pulls off the win here.

The haters know you are a good guy Billy, dont buy into their bitching. You walking away is their ultimate wet dream, as they cant handle us jocks standing up for our own! I should know, cos I have been doing it for nearly a decade here now. I have almost walked away myself a good few times, but why give the ****s the pleasure?

Dont you & your wife let the cowards get you down, thats my advice.
