Burns next fight confirmed

People keep saying this fight is bigger than a broner fight but for me unfortunately it's far less relevant. Won the belt, has 3 god awful plainly embarrasing defences and moves up before the first decent challenge comes along to instead fight a guy who's lost his last 3, has no belt and who will probably still beat him.

Burns isn't better than Mitchell. This makes no sense in any way whatsoever. Absolutely baffling career decision by burns handlers

 

It makes sense for his promoter. If Burns wins, he's the WBO 'world' champion and there's a potential domestic 'world' title fight between Burns and Mitchell. If Katsidis wins, there's the rematch with Mitchell with the added motivation of a 'world' title along with revenge for Mitchell.

Think billy gets a hard time in here, although he often doesn't help himself. He clearly has a lot to bring to the table in terms of info, fighter and trainer perspective.

And I really enjoy rob's posts because its clear how much he loves boxing, and his forthrightness often causes him to say things which upset people - i admire his principles.

So as more of a viewer than a contributor, I hope billy still posts. Enjoy both of your work!

f--k it hope Burn's Kats is a great fight .Burn's deserves some props .Martinez fight was a war .Too many like that and it's a short career .Now he's stepping up to fight argubaly the toughest fighter in the sport . Ok the Broner fight I wanted to go to so i'm a bit dissapointed but fair enough Katsidis is arguaby a harder fight than Broner .
