i was critical of ricky vacating and moving up, but fair play to the lad and good luck to him......

there is a lot of anti scottish people out there, ok its funny when someone gets beat at footy etc and we can all have a joke bla bla bla etc but when scotland or wales or ireland play football i want them to win unless they are playing the england of course.....it seems that most jocks i knw dont see it like that they want us to lose and actually celebrate us getting beat etc.........bit sad really but i can understand it to an extent, its just bitterness to a degree.........

Katsidis might be considered a better fighter because of the company he's mixed in, but he's a still deliberate kind of fighter. Broner, no matter how much more inexperienced, possesses the kind of speed and angles that would of made Burn look ordinary imo. I suspect Burns's team knew that.

I didnt see this fight coming at all to be honest. Burns better hope he gets stronger with the move up in weight as some fighters do because if not he's in for a world of trouble. Cant see him holding off Kats for 12 rounds. Katsidis inside 6. Nice to see Burns take on a serious challenge aswell.

 

What happens: Kevin Mitchell will likely meet the winner or maybe even the loser.

Good fight for Burns, I think he has enough to win.

 

Even if Burns loses there is still some great fights for him on the domestic scene.

Katsidis will make Ricky look brutalised. I liked the Broner fight because I thought Ricky had a great chance to beat him. I don't see that against Katsidis. Ricky doesn't have the mobility, power or smarts of Guerrero. He's too happy to stand with his opponents, which is why the crude Martinez was able to land on him again and again.

Katsidis is so much better than Martinez and much bigger.

 

Fair play to Ricky and Billy for taking the fight. A bit of genuine competition in the fight game never went a miss!

Interesting fight, think Ricky boxes well early doors but struggles to keep Katsidis off him and gets stopped around 7/8.
