Im shocked at Ricksters rant to be honest, very unlike him to come out with statements like that, he sounds pissed off with 'ole uncle Frank reading between the lines!

& if a nice guy like Ricky Burns is pissed off, then you know something something is badly wrong behind the scenes:shock:

He normally down plays anything so for him to actually go in to depth about the situation, I think it says something.

Very curious. Bit of a low move if true. If the lad wants to fight then let him.

Just saw that, Burns should start demanding good opponents next year. don;t think ****** would want to lose one of his world champs! (BN's biggest draw for Scotland)

Said it months back, Ricky Burns doesnt need W-arren, and if he wants to get some rep in big fights, he'd be better of going elsewhere, he has been stagnating for a while.....this whole situation aint helping it. The top dogs at the weight arent looking twice at Ricky because of the fights he is being made to fight in. A neutral looking in would just assume Ricky is fighting domestic level.

W-arren has a few other fighters of importance, so Ricky doesnt get the attention he deserves. If I was Ricky I'd get myself over to Hennessey and on Channel 5. He has the right personality and likeability to be on terrestrial television. He can use it as a stop gap, and it would do him and his image the world of good IMO.

STV reporting on twitter Ricky is NOT fighting on Saturday now. Next fight will be January 26th. No mention of opponent.

This could be a long term blessing for Ricky.
Hopefully The Tall Man will sniff around with an offer now,but I still think it would take something major for Alex Morrison to drop his pal as promoter.

I really do feel sorry for Burns, you can tell he's frustrated and rightly so, now's the time to do something about it, the ball is in his court, if he continues this way and with certain management then he is his own worst enemy and deserves no sympathy.

There is a point when enough is enough.

Fair play Bill, I thought you would be gloating cos it looks like the Broner fight is farther away than ever after this Frank fiasco. Still maybe think its a bit early to totally turn on Frank though, sometimes promoters have a tough time with pull-outs. I havent read the Frank responce in another thread yet, but just thought I would put this in anyway.
