    Juan Manuel Marquez may only return for Manny Pacquiao

    WBO and WBA lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez is set to vacate his 135lbs titles and focus on campaigning at higher weight in future with a fourth bout with Manny Pacquiao top of his list of priorities.

    The 38 year-old, who fought his 60th professional bout last month, has now lost two out of three contests against the Filipino and is convinced he has won all three of the twelve-round battles with the WBO welterweight champion.

    Marquez may now be ready to put his career on hold until the outcome of negotiations between his arch-rival and WBC belt holder Floyd Mayweather are concluded and there seems to be a real possibility that the Mexican is ready to walk away from the sport if he is kept waiting for a fourth bout with the ‘Pacman’ next year.

    The three-weight world champion has already predicted a Mayweather win if the mega-fight finally happens in 2012 and whether he is willing to await the outcome for a final crack at beating Pacquiao remains to be seen.

    I remember asking Ricky how it went with Kev when he was down the road sparring..........he just smiled.



    Class.


    I knows its sparring etc and maybe they both was just happy to not get a sore shoulder yadayayda.


    Anyways.............Burns Vs. Mitchell at the weigh in.

    Man i only truly want it just to see Rickys typical grin...................and the size !!!!

    Done job anyways..........




    Kev aint consistent yet i truly wish he was............for his sake.

    This Gary Barlow dude is a ***** with ears, with I agree that Burns is going to find it very difficult to crack the US TV markets. TBH I dont think thats the route they are looking down anyway, or theyd have had the Broner fight in the US.
    The US PPV market is really excusive to the biggest names, but he could do worse than get himself on the undercard of some big fights-Mayweather/Pac/Marquez/Hopkins/Cotto.
    Ricky is a great guy, excellent fighter but he's not elite level to headline a PPV, and he's not devestating either, so good as he is, I dont see HBO/Showtime knocking down his door anytime soon
    This is no way a slight on Ricky who's doing excellent things.

    I think they are more looking at the Scott Harrison/Ricky Hatton model and get as big fights as they can in the UK, preferably Scotland, maximise the crowd size and sky tv exposure. I dont mean this in a bad way ay all for Burns, but Marquez wont waste his time with him. If he doesnt get Pac he'll fight Morales. He's on of those fighters who transcend the trinket that comes with being champion, he's proved himself over and over again.
    Ricky v Mitchell, Ricky v Murray in Scotland would sell no question.

    The thing is mate Kevin i beleive wants a warm up before Ricky,so Ricky needs to fight someone id be suprised if its Corolla has his own promoter said he isnt ready for Burns

    Hatton quote on fightnews saying he wants to sit down with Frank to make Burns-Crolla. I hope not. HAtton saying they are the top 2 domestic. No, Crolla is domestic and Burns is world class.
