i have to disagree, there is more than 1 meaning of destroyed and against crawford he was destroyed! if you dont win a round and landed a handful of shots against your opponent that is classed as being destroyed!!

it also works with being outclassed, if someone is beaten up like cleverly was against kovalev then it would not be out of place to say he was totally outclassed.

i think you are taking the word destroyed as something personal when it is just another way to say outclassed. there is no shame in what happened with ricky against crawford.

ricky imo is defo finished, i wanted to give him another chance after his brave showing against figueroa but at the weekend he was very unimpressive against a guy that was there to make ricky look great but once again he jsut didnt look right, imo luke campbell would outbox ricky fairly easily and probably look more impressive than he did against coyle, ricky cat fight the way coyle did and he doesnt have the handspeed to outbox luke! ricky throughout his career has looked good against guys who come to fight ie martinez/katsidis/mitchell

Burns has never been good.

The same people that say he is good think that the likes of Fury and Froch have got skills (you would NEVER teach a newbie technique by watching those three) or are Scottish, simple.

Ricky struggled badly with Beltran. Beltran is known for being Manny's sparring partner - that's it.

Crawford SCHOOLED him without breaking a sweat. It was a whitewash.

The thing is when Ricky has a bad performance all you hear is "He had an injury, he had problems, but you should've saw him in sparring though!". Sparring means jack squat.

And when he does perform it's usually against people aren't that good.

Ricky's grit and heart is undeniable. He's got as much as Carl Froch.

But he just is not a skilled boxer.

Talk about how he is this, that and the other, all you want. But he isn't top 3 in the country.

Gamboa, Broner, JMM - They'd have all killed him.

 

Can't see Hearn making Burns v Campbell. IMO of Burns wins & That's not part of Eddie's master plan.

It's because he is scottish and hearns told the scots that burns was their greatest ever fighter, so they were desperate and drunk to be believe his words that Burns was some kind of savior.

It's sad, but no matter how much Burns gets battered by elite fighters they will still believe he was just unlucky,

Burns also knows this, this is why he cried about his jaw after beltran exposed him - he only needs to say he was injured if he loses and his scottish fanboys will fall for it

 

Eddie struggles to make the great fights... funny thing is is that they all box under him, too!
