It's hard to make a solid prediction when there's so little footage of Evensen. Burns isn't a big puncher and as far as I know Evensen has never been down so I'm just going to stay away from it.
Burns on points I've not seen Evensen but going by his record I think its a pathetic "World" title fight, he's beat nobody this is Warren at his very best.
Maybe I'm being cynical but... Naseem Hamed, Nigel Benn, Joe Calzaghe, Ricky Hatton, Enzo Maccarinelli and Amir Khan all won their first defence by way of KO/TKO.
Burns isn't much of a puncher but I can't see this Evensen guy being much good otherwise they wouldn't have chosen him. I fancy Burns to get the TKO.
Burns isn't a big puncher at all. Saying that he had Martinez rocked badly (someone who claims he has never been down as a pro or amateur). Like many, I haven't seen too much of the other guy. So u expect Burns to win every round, no way would he be put in there with a guy who could rip the title from him in his first defense.
none of us have seen evanson so cant really make an acutal prediction. any fight at this level will be tough for ricky.
At what level? Burns was brilliant against Martinez but this guy is clearly handpicked and ranked 53rd in the world. This isn't a levels fight for Ricky Burns. It's just a comfortable home defence of an alphabelt title.
ranked 53rd in the world by who? Burns seems like a guy who fights to his opponents level. He will rarley have an easy nights work.
Big Dunk you mean Ricky isnt English and shouldnt be World champion, your nothing more than a bigot who would be lost in conversation with boxing people! Ive seen plenty of Evensen and he's a good fighter.
Huh? Didn't sound like Rob said anything like that? If anything he was trying to make this defence credible :huh
Probably Burns points. Not a big puncher but it really depends on how bummy Evensen is. I've heard he's not that bad so...
