Burns V Katsidis who wins?

What win has made Katsidis so legitimate? Graham Earl? Kevin Mitchell? If some people here are not rating Rickys won over Martinez then they cant rate any of Katsidis wins right?

Is this a joke? The level of competition Katsidis has been in with compared to Burns is indescribable. Sure Katsidis hasn't gotten by the biggest names he's been in with but for the most part he made a good account of himself. I mean just imagine Burns v Marquez, would bookies even offer a line?

The close loss To Juan Diaz, win over Chavez, was up against Casamayor, win over Escobedo, etc are all feats Burns could never accomplish.

The class difference is shocking, the only logical point of this fight is to rebuild up Katsidis and likely to make England his base of operation. He has been spoon fed a lesser opponent (who has been built up as legit competition) as the beginning of setting up bigger fights. End of story, Burns is the sacrificial lamb. I hope he and his team is being paid well for this fiasco.

The first round.

Katsidis started very slowly, feeling his man out, while Mitchell was peppering him with the jab. It was only at the end of the round when Kats stepped up the pressure when he landed anything of note. Burns certainly wins round 1.

I'm having a hard time making up my mind for this fight, I'm certainly not as confident as nearly every other person who predicts a Katsidis KO.

It all depends on how well Burns can stay out of trouble for the first 4 rounds and frustrate Katsidis as I really don't think that Katsidis has it in him anymore to fight hard for 12 solid rounds, and out of the current domestic LWs you'd give Burns the biggest chance of actually doing it. Katsidis could, of course fight like he did against Escobedo and try to use his boxing ability a bit more as he could outbox Burns but I expect to see him go for the KO as early as possible.

I'll go with Burns making a stirring comeback in the latter part of the fight to earn a respected, maybe disputed close loss on points. I think Burns' stock will rise win or lose.

 

i still think that katsidis footwork , if its gone then ricky wins

katsidis just couldnt get in teh position to really damage guerro in that last fight , his trainer was constantly asking him to get into position but katsidis couldnt.

if this was because guerro was a southpaw then fine , if not ricky will win

 

He couldn't get in to position because of Guerrero's good footwork, southpaw stance and the fact that he was throwing sharp jabs with the left hand coming behind them. None of which Ricky Burns does.

Its pretty obvious that if Burns wins then the "Katsidis is shot" excuses are going to be out in force.How many saying Katsidis will **** Burns said the same about Martinez only to now say Martinez was crap and the victory was nothing special?

Burns would be Katsidis best win if he can pull it off:-(

 

Burns wouldn't be his best win at all. Burns has lost to many british level operators and beat a guy whose best win is Nicky Cook to win a world title. We could argue that Mitchell has a better resume than Burns.

Burns would get blown away by the likes of Marquez and Guerrero. It would be a hiding.

Burns is rated highly based on a win over Roman Martinez which I find excessive. Martinez is simply not that good and either is Burns.

I'll be very disappointed if Katsidis cannot dispatch Burns in the fight. I will be placing a lot of money on it.

Burns does not hit anywhere near hard enough to discourage Katsidis and has virtually no inside game. He does not have the footwork to keep Katsidis off him and when Katsidis starts letting them go at short range, Burns is going to find himself in no mans land with nowhere to go.

 

So whats his best win? I mean its only the 3rd time ive asked.

who cares what is best win is? how does that prove anything? take his performancesas a whole and look at how he performed vs the likes of guerrero/marquez/casamayor/diaz. these are of a much much higher level than burns

i have already said that mitchell can be argued to be better than burns, especially at 135 and look at what katsidis did

and if you believe burns would do better than katsidis vs marquez or guerrero, then perhaps you are not worth replying to

 

plus the fact that guerrero is a power puncher.

katsidis doesnt have to worry about burns power like he did vs guerrero

 

Stop ducking? wtf we're on the first response. You are clearly of a low iq, I struggle how to deal with these situations. Your stance is so incredibly insane and beyond any logical comprehension. Burns has beaten nobody and gotten in the ring with nobody. Katsidis has faced numerous high quality operators with varying success. To even suggest this win would be the best for Katsidis is a/obvious fishing or b/straight to the looney bin talk.

Escobedo, Chavez, and Mitchell will be far better victories than beating Ricky "sacrificial lamb" Burns.
