Katsidis looks small at 135. I'm guessing he looked smaller at 140 and lost because of it. Katsidis is size, stamina and power. Every weight he moves up he'll probably lose his edge in these areas.
This. Some of the people here are ridiculous the way they troll billy nelson. He needs to retire now seriously, I said it after the Guerrero fight. Maybe some homecoming fights in oz against lower level opposition or weak punchers but its just getting sad now I can't watch him take any more beatings.
Tbh I was impressed with Mensah especially considering his less tha nstellar record. Looked like a junior welter James Toney.
Oh Billy boy, what a short memory you have. atsch Burns did beat Katsidis who indeed beat Mitchell but you forgetting that Mitchell beat Carl Johanneson...who beat Ricky Burns??? :think Plus it's well documented that Mitchell wasn't himself in the build up for the Katsidis fight, he got it right against Prescott and Murray and looked better than Burns has ever looked tbf. :blurp And for the record, I actually like Ricky Burns. :smooch
Sorry but thats rubbish. Prescott is a low tier banger who got lucky with one shot and has done nothing since and Murray was giving Mitchell some trouble early on but Mitchell manged to catch him with some decents shots. Murray can only fight one way and wasnt able to adjust Burns would UD Murray and wouldnt be given half the problems Mitchell was.
Don't try and talk common sense with these clowns. Burns would knock out both Murray and Mitchell - and no matter what, he'll never get the credit he deserves. I'm not even the biggest Burns fan, but let's be honest here, it's all about levels.
Prescott is a good fighter, he's been beaten by Mitchell and Vasquez, but was robbed against McCloskey and he was unlucky against Alvarado. Put Prescott in with Burns imo. :thumbsup
Why??Burns would beat him. Prescotts power is overrated, yes he knocked Khan out but let's be honest how many times was Khan put down at lightweight?? Burns would take what Prescott had early and outbox him to a clear decision.
