Not necessarily. It’s a big jump for Selby. Burns is passed it but he’s going to be the much bigger man.
Both past it but the fact Selby is stepping up and almost as past it as burns makes the outcome uncertain at least. I’d bet on selby though, probably has a bit more left in the tank but let’s see... I wouldn’t pay to watch it but would watch it for free...
Selby didn’t have any power at featherweight, and he’s not developed any now. He’s slowed down a bit too. Burns is a clever fighter and although i’d expect him to lose the early rounds, I think he’d eventually catch Selby up and stop him.
Yeah this is an interesting one for me. It's not cut and dried as it might first look. Selby isn't stopping Burns and Burns is genuinely the bigger man and he's more than capable of throwing someone around and wearing on them a bit. Burns is past it at the top end of the division but Selby looked awful against Warrington took plenty of shots V Douglas and at 32 is he starting to degrade? Much of his style was based on the fact he had a better reach and was taller than his opponents. He won't have those advantages vs Burns and Burns will be the bigger puncher.
It's been rumoured that I do; there are just some fights that don't excite me in the least bit. This unfortunately is one of them.
Burns is a lovely man (i've met him a number of times), a real gent of the sport. He's well past it and i'd wish he'd retire but to say he's repugnant is very wrong.
