I'd assumed with how intriguing the big domestic fight is at the weekend, and just how much its outcome divides opinion, there would be a poll by now. I am either going blind or there isn't one, because I checked and double checked! So apologies to you all if I have missed it............. Time to put your money where your mouth is everyone. I think its a really great match-up, and despite the various criticisms of each fighter it is a very difficult one to call as a neutral observer. I'm pretty sure which Burns will turn up, he is always consistent and has looked so good in his last two outings in particular. With Mitchell it depends on which one turns up; I know the jokes about the excuses his fans and supporters use when he delivers below par performances, and maybe they are true, but what I also know that an on form and fired up Mitchell could cause any lightweight in the world problems. I'm genuinely excited about this one, canit wait!!!!!
If pushed I too would go for Burns on points..................... But I've just got a suspicion this fight may be a lot closer than many expect, I'd be interested to see the odds on a draw, because I think this is one of those fights where its a real possibility. :bbb
Burns has lost me money the two times I bet on him. I bet Katsidis and Martinez by KO atsch He's rightly favourite but Mitchell hits harder and is a better boxer than Martinez who Ricky had trouble with...
I have thought Burns points since this fight was announced, but would like to see a Mitchell win by stoppage, which is probably the second most likely outcome
I had a dream Mitchell stopped Burns early, been having that feeling for a while. That said I had the same feeling Chavez would stop Martinez so what the hell do I know. I'll be there supporting Burns Saturday but might throw a little cash at the Mitchell stoppage just to ease the pain if it happens.
I like both guys I want Mitchell to win But I think Burns will win I think Burns will look physically stronger, I do not think Burns is particularly exciting to watch, but he does what he does very well, and I think Mitchell will find it hard to get to Ricky cleanly very often
Burns by knockout. As James DeGale once said, it's all about levels. Burns is levels above Mitchell, something we'll all see at the weekend.
can only see burns winning this on points. dont think burns has the power to stop mitchell and burns has a good chin and will keep the right at range and pile up the points and win 116-112. would love to see mitchell break him down and produce a performance like the mitchell fight but burns style will prevent this
