Just saw this on Boxrec: http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=71275&cat=boxer I like Walsh but I think this is too early - and he's only had one fight at lightweight. What do you think?
lol yeah this guy really wants a fight with Broner. Way to make yourself noticed! Bum fights for another few years is my guess. Good ol FW pulling the woold over the UK fans yet again. Burns is gonna whup a buncha nobodies in the UK and some fools will claim he's the best in the division. atschatschatsch Walsh is absolutely inexcusable and pathetic for champion. **** I figured they'd at least fight a ees or Murray or something which is still ****ing horrible but more excusable than a novice.
I normally defend Burns, but this bout is ****, Walsh is far too green. I blame Fwank though, this seems to happen with all the champions he promotes.
You sir are a bellend. They are lining up a fight with Broner early next year should they both come through their upcoming fights, nothing has changed. They offered Perez the fight, he turned it down, it's a semi difficult keep busy fight, nothing more.
Burns has already fought Katisdis, Moses and Mitchell at his only 3 fights at 135 this "soft touch" is fine. If Broner beats Demarco and Burns wins why can't they still fight and unify? Broner fans need to STFU esp when talking about anothers fighters level of opposition. Acting like Burns needs to fight JMM to get a shot at Broner.:verysad
While most champions fight twice a year, I am not unrealistic in thinking he will fight three top 10 guys in one calendar year. I'd rather he fights Walsh in December than not fighting again until April.
no ones saying that he needs to fight JMM but as a Burns fan this is disgusting and inexcusable. There are plenty of "safe" fights if indeed they are trying to just stay busy and avoid trouble with intetions of landing a broner fight next year. fights that are less of a joke than this one that could be made in a minute....Why not Rees? Why not Lundy? Beltran? Litzau? Linares? Zappavigna? No excuse for a champion to be fighting a novice.
